OK, dawgs, no time to beat around the bush. If you happen to actually visit Winota Casino, you will understand why I skipped the introduction.

This is a casino that really wants to stand out and it DOES so successfully. Don’t worry, though. Pretty pictures of hot girls won’t distract this dawg (too much) from giving this casino the ol’ Derrick assessment.

And now, let’s find out if Winota truly is an online casino worthy of remembrance, or yet another fluke.

Casino Review Details

Winota Casino is a brand new online casino that came out in 2021 (not even a year old as of writing this). Owned by Romix Limited and licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, this online casino knows that it’s a tough competition out there and it really needs to do something unique in order to stand out. How did they accomplish that?

The second you visit Winota Casino, you will be greeted with what I would call a “Character selection screen.”

Yeah, I’m not even kidding. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that visiting Winota for the first time is like launching a mobile phone game.

The welcome bonuses on the home screen are all displayed with animated character models (Ermahgerd!).

Yeah, I know moving characters are nothing to brag about in 2024 but they aren’t a common sight for online casinos. Your boy Derrick, was very much impressed.

The entire website seems to be rocking the cabaret theme. Game icons, the vibe and colors, how the characters are dressed – they all remind me of grand cabaret clubs which are really fitting for online casinos.

Other than having all the expected things I hope to see at a new online casino, Winota goes a few steps beyond its innovations. Although I gotta say, some aren’t necessarily that good in my opinion, but we’ll get to that later.

Country Restrictions

Alright, dawgs! Bad news first. As always, players from United States and United Kingdom aren’t welcome. But don’t worry UK and US bros, nobody seems to be welcome!

Winota Casino easily has one of the biggest restricted countries lists that I have ever seen. I mean, that thing is huge! Just look at this mess:

  • Australia, Austria, Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Belarus, Burundi, Belgium, Bulgaria, Central African Republic, Czech Republic, Colombia, Cyprus, Curacao, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, Estonia, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Egypt, France and French Territories, Gibraltar, Guinea, Guyana, Guinea-Bissau, Georgia, Greece, Hong Kong, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Israel, Libya, Latvia, Lithuania, Myanmar, Moldova, North Korea, Netherlands, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Pakistan, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Slovakia, Slovenia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Yemen, Ukraine (including the territory of Crimea), United Kingdom, United States of America, Vatican City, Venezuela, Zimbabwe

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that Winota doesn’t want anyone to come to their show.

Winota Casino Bonuses

Winota Casino may be flashy and stylish but unless it has good bonuses to compliment the esthetics, players, we’re just going to go to a different online casino, dawg. Luckily, Casino Winota really wants us to stay.

The place is packed with a casino welcome bonus, times three, weekly bonuses, VIP and tournaments. It even features an achievement system and a progression bar.

It got me thinking: Am I playing a video game or looking at an online casino? Anyway, let’s take a deeper look.

Welcome Bonus

Winota Casino offers three welcome bonuses. Pretty decent ones, too. All you gotta do is: deposit, contact the customer service and there ya go.

  • First deposit – 100% bonus (up to 500 EUR bonus) and bonus 50 free spins
  • Second deposit – 50% bonus (up to 1000 EUR bonus)
  • Third deposit – Cashback bonus up to 200 EUR

Minimum deposit: 20 EUR

Wagering requirements: 35x

Requirements for free spins: 40x

While it may not be one of the best casino sign up bonuses I’ve ever seen, it’s far from being the worst. With so many online casinos giving only one welcome bonus, seeing these three gives me a modicum of hope for the future of online casinos.

Weekend Reload Bonus

If there aren’t any other bonuses, apart from the welcome bonuses, players will quickly lose interest and leave the online casino. Glad to see Winota is paying attention to this because we got ourselves a couple of bonuses that we can use over and over again.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can deposit some money and take advantage of the Weekend reload bonus.

  • Weekend reload bonus – 50% deposit bonus (up to 700 EUR bonus) and bonus 50 free spins

Minimum deposit: 20 EUR

Wagering requirements: 35x

Requirements for free spins: 40x

Weekly Reload Bonus

Once every week, from Monday to Thursday, get a couple of free spins to get you through the workdays.

  • Weekly reload bonus – bonus 50 free spins

Minimum deposit: 20 EUR

Wagering requirements: 40x

Live Show CashBack Bonus

Players who are into Live Casino games, you’ll be happy with this Winota casino bonus, dawgs. Once a week, before making any bets on live games, you can register for the Live Casino cashback. Once the week is over, you will receive your cashback to your account. Pretty cool deal!

  • Live Show Cashback bonus – 10 % (up to 150 EUR bonus)

Yeah, I’m a pretty huge fan of weekly bonuses because they always keep me coming back and I just don’t get why more casinos don’t have them.

VIP Program

Alright, dawgs, brace yourselves because we’ve got an interesting VIP Program in our hands. Not necessarily the “good kind” of interesting.

First of all, YES, Winota Casino does have a VIP system. There are 5 tiers of VIP status:

  • Debutant – Monthly withdrawal limit: 10.000 EUR
  • Showman – Monthly withdrawal limit: 10.000 EUR (same as Debutant)
  • Maestro – Monthly withdrawal limit: 12.000 EUR, 5% bonus weekly cashback
  • Cabaret King – Monthly withdrawal limit: 15.000 EUR, 10% bonus weekly cashback, Personal account manage
  • Superstar – Monthly withdrawal limit: 20.000 EUR, 15% bonus weekly cashback, Personal account manager

Not too great but not too bad either. So how do you become a VIP, dawg? Well, ain’t that a million dollar question?

Behold the very unnecessary: Cabaret World! This is Winota Casino’s version of a battle pass like the ones you see in video games like Fortnite.

For those of you who don’t know, battle passes in video games are basically a way to get you to play the game more and more by always rewarding you with in-game items. When you play, you get battle pass levels and every other level you get stuff.

Things like character emotes, colors, sound effects and skins. It’s pretty much a fact that most gamers don’t care about any of those except character skins, so game developers always put the good ones at the last level while everything else is just junk.

Now back to Cabaret World.

It’s very similar to a battle pass. You’ll get a character and a board with spaces. When you play at the casino, deposit money and perform well at some slots, your character will advance through the board (like rolling a dice).

When you reach a certain space you will get – and I’m not kidding here – wallpapers, new characters, collectable cards.

For lack of a better term, this is “junk”.

Bro, if you are going to make a progression system inside your online casino, at least fill that progression with things we need like free spins or cashback.

Supposedly, they might offer some free spins and bonuses as time goes on, but all I’ve seen were wallpapers, stages and characters. Also, progressing through the board is your ticket to different VIP status, or at least I think it is because it isn’t explained anywhere on the website.

So, yeah, if you really want to be a VIP, you gotta play this board game. (Insincere) Yaaayyy…

Free Spins

Unfortunately, there aren’t any other free spins to speak off.

The Welcome Bonus 100 free spins are nice and if you take advantage of both of the weekly bonuses, you get to score another 100 bonus free spins each week.

Cabaret World might also give out more free spins but they didn’t appear on any of the boards I progressed through.

Winota Casino Games

Winota Casino has over 1000 titles available. These include everything we’ve come to expect like: slots, table, live, jackpot, and even separate categories for roulette, blackjack and game providers.

Speaking of casino software providers, here’s the list:

  • Playtech, Netent, Play’N Go, Red Rake, Pragmatic Play, QuickSpin, Red Tiger Gaming, Yggdrasil, Betsoft, Push Gaming, Relax Gaming, Evolution Gaming, Wazdan, BF Games, Tom Horn, Nolimit City, ELK.

Now, before you get excited thinking that Winota has all types of content, I’m sorry to disappoint you, dawg, but it’s mostly slots. There are only a couple of other games in each other category (live games are probably the second most popular).

Also, while game categories are neatly organized, which also includes a search bar and even a way to show all games by a single game provider, Winota does that shady trick where they put live games in other non-live categories, to make the categories look larger.

Slot Games

Slots, as usual, make the majority of the games available (around 900 of them). There are some really quality titles here but, as always, I couldn’t go through all of them.

Something I noticed is that some slots just flat-out won’t work for you (Book of Dead didn’t work for me). The game can show up as available but when you click to play it, it just gives you an error code. This might be a bug or a regional thing, but it’s annoying either way, dawg.

Table Games

Not a lot of them. Minus the live ones that are also included in this category (and they shouldn’t be) there are 11 table games. Most of these are poker and blackjack. Nothing too special about these.

Roulette

Ok, come on now, this is just lame. So, again, they put both live and non-live roulette into this category but, just for laughs they also put Dream Catcher and Frenkie Dettori Sporting Legends in this category? WHY?

Tolerating Live roulette is one thing but I ain’t gonna tolerate Dream Catcher being in the roulette section! This needs to be fixed.

As for roulette itself, when you actually find it, there are a total of 9 non-live roulette games and they are as grand as ever. Casino roulette by Wazdan was surprisingly good, though.

Blackjack

Oooohhh, if I showed this to my bro John, he would NOT BE HAPPY!

John loves his blackjack and he would be livid to find out that out of 8 available blackjacks, 3 are live ones and another 3 already appeared in the Table games section. This leaves us with only 2 blackjack games.

Seriously, Winota, if you don’t have enough roulette, blackjack and poker, just toss them in the table games, take out the live content and we would all be happy!

Jackpot Games

At least Jackpots seem to be in order. They have their own category and you can view the current jackpot on the homepage.

However, they don’t actually tell you which one of the slots has the biggest jackpot. I would have liked to see a little bar that shows the highest possible jackpot on each slot when I just hover my mouse over it.

Live Casino Games

Their live online casino hosts 22 live games, all provided by Evolution Gaming. Lemme tell ya, they make great live dealer games. Out of those 22 titles, there bound to be at least one that will suit your preferences.

You won’t see 50 different types of blackjack but at least you’ll be able to play Sic bo, Monopoly live, Mega Ball, Crazy Time, Dragon Tiger and a few others. Yup, variety over quantity and your boy Derrick can appreciate that.

Mobile

I know some of you really like to play at online casinos via your phone so you’ll be happy to know that Winota mobile casino works well on a smartphone. I had no trouble running it through my Samsung Galaxy and I imagine mobile gambling works well on other devices, too.

Note that there is no app, which isn’t surprising. It’s just a nice-to-have feature in my book, so yeah…

Winota Casino Payment Methods

deposit methods

withdrawal methods

Alright, dawg, when it comes to payment methods here are all the accepted deposits and withdrawals:

  • Visa, MC, interac, EcoPayz, MuchBetter, Aktia, Alandsbanken, Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea, Omasp, OP-Pohjola, POP Pankki, S-Pankki, Säästöpankki,Trustly, Bank Transfer, Verkkomaksu, PaysafeCard, Skrill, Skrill 1-Tap, Rapid Transfer, Neteller, Siru Mobile, Minfinity, NeoSurf, Uberweisung, Klarna, MiFinity, PaySafeCard, Neteller.

HOWEVER, just because Winota accepts all of these, that doesn’t mean that they will accept them in YOUR REGION. We tested this with a few regions and, depending on where you live, you can get as few as 4 or as many as 12 payment methods. Just keep that in mind before you get your credit card out.

Different regions also have different fees and payments. The safest bet seems to be Skrill and Neteller (yup, in some regions not even Visa or Mastercard work).

Accepted Currencies

Not too shabby, Bro! They accept the following currencies:

  • EUR, RUB, NOK, PLN, HUF, CAD, INR, NZD.

Customer Support

One of my favorite things about doing these casino reviews is when I contact customer support.

The live chat is available 24/7 – as it should be – and I didn’t have to wait long until I got in contact with one of their representatives. I asked them about game availability and they confirmed that some software may not work depending on the region.

Regardless, I don’t have any complaints about the live chat function.

Available Languages

Good stuff right here! This site can be used in the following languages:

  • English, German, Finnish, Polish, Hungarian, Norwegian, and Russian.

Winota Casino Review Summary

So what’s the verdict after this extensive Winota Casino review? Well, it’s OK. It’s not one of the best online casinos there is, but it certainly is not the worst either. Far from it.

I really wanted to recommend it to everyone but I can’t do that because it’s literally a coin toss IF you can even get in. I’ve also read some Winota casino reviews by players themselves, and I’ve seen everything – both the good and the bad.

And I get it. They do some things really well while some other things are executed quite poorly. Deposit methods are a-plenty, deposit bonuses, too, and the overall user experience is commendable. If you are on the preferred countries list, it might be worth your money. If not, sorry!

Having to review Winota Casino is kind of like watching a Michael Bay film: explosions and great effects in a film that you probably won’t watch again. Then again, maybe I will actually watch it out of sheer impulse. We got you, Bro!

Despite being rough trade, Derrick prefers to use sarcasm over fists because the parts of Atlanta he grew up in still consider it witchcraft. A.k.a. The Buff Dude, he’s a sucker for roulette, a total video game geek, and a beast when it comes to online casino security. We mainly hired him because he is scary AF but don’t tell him we said that.

I was very satisfied at first but later on I figured that complaints via email don't worth diddly squat, you have to use the live chat at any time. Payment options are decent enough, it's not a bad casino but it needs polishing, like a lot

no weekend withdrawals and terrible account validation made me hate this casino although it is not as bad as it seems, plenty of good games and promotions, nice loyalty program too
