Comparing online casinos in Canada starts with your province, not the size of a welcome offer. A familiar brand, a Canadian-dollar balance or an accessible website does not establish that a casino is approved where you are playing. This guide helps you check the correct provincial site, understand account and payment conditions, and compare the features that matter before you register.
Roobet is first and Winna second as featured placements, separate from any rating. Neither is approved in Ontario or Alberta. Promotional amounts are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD). Check the current offer terms and your province’s approved-site resources before registering; these listings do not establish provincial approval.

Check your location first. Ontario and Alberta have their own approved-site systems. Other provincial services have their own eligibility and product rules. Meet the applicable age requirement, use accurate account details and confirm current availability before depositing. A featured position on this page is not evidence of provincial approval.
Online casino comparisons for Canadian readers
The comparisons on this page combine our Roobet Canada review, our international Winna review and five casino promotions. They are not a Canada-wide licensing directory. Read the restrictions before following any offer, and use the official provincial directories rather than treating an international licence as Canadian authorization.
Find the right casino market for your province
| Where you are playing | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Ontario | Use iGaming Ontario’s regulated-site directory for private operators. Online casino players must be at least 19 and physically in Ontario. OLG operates separately from the private-market directory. |
| Alberta | Check the Alberta iGaming Corporation’s approved sites and AGLC information. The private market launched on 13 July 2026. Players must be at least 18 and physically in Alberta. |
| British Columbia | PlayNow requires players to be at least 19, resident in B.C. and physically in the province. |
| Manitoba | PlayNow requires players to be at least 18, resident in Manitoba and physically in the province. |
| Saskatchewan | PlayNow requires players to be at least 19, resident in Saskatchewan and physically in the province. |
| Québec | Espacejeux requires players to be at least 18, resident in Québec and physically in the province, with account validation completed. |
| Atlantic Canada | Atlantic Lottery accounts require players to be at least 19, resident in Atlantic Canada and physically there. Casino availability differs by province and product. |
| Elsewhere | Check the relevant provincial service and its current player agreement. Do not copy one province’s eligibility or game catalogue to another. |
Keep the exact domain in your comparison notes. The same consumer brand can use different websites and account terms in different markets. A review of an international casino does not automatically describe its provincially approved counterpart. Our Canadian casino review guide explains how to separate those records.
How to compare the best online casinos for your needs
Canadian dollars and payment access
Look for the actual account currency, deposit minimum and withdrawal minimum in the cashier. We write hypothetical Canadian-dollar examples as CAD $100; a casino’s headline in another currency should not be read as the same Canadian-dollar amount. Check conversion costs before funding an account in another currency.
If you want to use Interac e-Transfer, confirm that the specific casino offers it, whether it works for both deposits and withdrawals, and which fees or limits apply. A payment logo alone is not enough. Identity checks, account ownership and the chosen withdrawal method can affect the process. Cryptocurrency support also needs a provincial check: AiGC says its approved Alberta sites cannot currently accept crypto deposits or withdrawals.
Bonus terms that fit your budget
Compare the qualifying deposit, wagering basis, maximum stake, eligible games and expiry together. In a hypothetical offer, a CAD $100 bonus at 40x bonus-only wagering requires CAD $4,000 in qualifying bets. If 40x applies to a CAD $100 deposit plus that bonus, the requirement is CAD $8,000. Neither example promises that you will finish with money to withdraw.
Our casino bonuses in Canada guide explains the full calculation. For spins specifically, use the Canadian free spins guide to compare spin value, game restrictions and the treatment of winnings.
Choose the games and device experience you want
A large lobby matters less than finding the games you actually want on the correct provincial site. Check the rules and return-to-player information for each selected game. Different versions can have different settings, and a familiar provider name does not establish that every title is available to your account.
- Live casinos in Canada: compare table rules, minimum stakes, connection requirements and bonus exclusions.
- Mobile casinos in Canada: check the browser or official app, location permissions, cashier access and readable game controls.
- New online casinos in Canada: distinguish a new brand from a new provincial launch, then verify the operating site.
Make a clear plan before playing
Choose a spending limit you can afford to lose and set a time limit before the first session. Read the withdrawal and account-verification terms while you are deciding, rather than after a payment is delayed. Keep copies of the offer you accept and any support conversation about it. Gambling is paid entertainment, not a way to cover bills.
If you need support, use our responsible gaming guide and the Responsible Gambling Council’s provincial help directory. Ontario’s ConnexOntario provides free, confidential information and referral support. Check the coverage of any self-exclusion tool before assuming it applies to other websites.
Canadian online casino questions
Is there one casino licence covering all of Canada?
Do not assume that a listing or licence in one jurisdiction authorizes a casino everywhere. Check your province’s official service or approved-site directory and the exact operator domain.
Does a CAD balance mean a site is approved in my province?
No. Account currency is a payment feature. Provincial approval, physical-location requirements and the operator’s country or province restrictions must be checked separately.
