24Casino has been blocked in Australia since 8 February 2023, when ACMA asked Australian internet providers to cut access to it. 24casino1.bet is on ACMA’s published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026). That is why this page is no longer a recommendation: it is a status review covering the block, your options as an existing player and the alternatives we have rechecked.

Fair warning, Bros: this page has changed. Our old 24Casino review called it a top choice for high rollers and big spenders. None of that matters once the regulator has blocked a site, so the rating and links are gone and the page now sticks to dated facts.

The alternatives listed at the top of this page all accepted Australians and were not on ACMA’s blocked list when we checked in October 2026. None holds an Australian licence, because Australia does not license online casinos. If gambling is causing you stress, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858, free and any time.

What Happened to 24Casino in Australia

Australia does not license online casinos. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA), offering online casino games or online pokies to people in Australia is an offence for the operator, and advertising them is banned as well. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) enforces the Act, and one of its main tools is website blocking: it asks Australian internet providers to block sites it has found in breach. ACMA reported 1,822 sites blocked since November 2019, as of 24 September 2026.

24Casino was part of the batch ACMA announced on 8 February 2023. The same release also covered Boomerang Casino, which we used to review as well. The block is not new: it dates back to February 2023, and our review should have caught up with it long before now.

A Site That Opens Is Not a Site That Is Allowed

Blocking is carried out by internet providers, not by the casino, so it does not catch every connection. If you see ACMA’s “website blocked” page, the domain is blocked. If you do not, your provider may not have applied the block yet, or you may have reached a mirror that is not on the list. Neither makes the casino legal to offer its games in Australia.

Do not use a VPN to get around a block or a casino’s country rules. Offshore casino terms routinely treat a disguised location as a breach and let the casino keep any winnings and close the account.

Still Holding a Balance at 24Casino?

If you signed up before the block and still have money there, focus on getting it out cleanly and on keeping records.

  1. Stop topping up. Every new deposit adds to what you could lose if the account is frozen.
  2. Screenshot everything: balance, active bonuses, pending withdrawals and your transaction history, with the date showing.
  3. Check whether a bonus is running. Withdrawing during wagering normally forfeits the bonus and its winnings, and some casinos block the withdrawal altogether. Ask support in writing to remove it if you just want your cash.
  4. Complete verification once, properly. Expect to send photo ID, proof of address and proof of payment. Send clear copies, keep the originals and note the date.
  5. Mind the withdrawal caps. Our old review recorded limits of €7,500 (about A$11,250) a week and A$22,500 a month. Check the current figure in the cashier before you request a large amount, because offshore casinos change these without notice, and a big balance may come out in instalments.
  6. Request the withdrawal in writing through live chat or email, and save every transcript.
  7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Curaçao; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.

BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, does not cover offshore casinos, so if you want out for good, ask 24Casino to close and exclude your account directly. For free, confidential support, Gambling Help Online is on 1800 858 858. Our responsible gaming page lists more services.

What Our Old 24Casino Review Said

For anyone comparing notes, these are the main points our previous 24Casino review made. They are recorded here as old claims; we have not rechecked them against 24Casino’s current pages, and they do not change its status.

  • Operator: Dama N.V.
  • Licence: Curaçao
  • Welcome offer: a welcome package of up to €6,500 plus 350 free spins at 40x wagering
  • Withdrawal limits: €7,500 (about A$11,250) a week and A$22,500 a month
  • Verdict: Called it a top choice for high rollers and big spenders

However the licence is described, it does not make 24Casino legal for Australians. No foreign licence permits online casino games or pokies to be offered here, and the block shows ACMA has found 24Casino in breach.

How We Check Casinos for Australians Now

Every brand on our Australian pages has to pass the same checks, and we rerun them regularly:

  1. None of its domains is on ACMA’s published blocked-websites list.
  2. The brand is not named in any of ACMA’s blocking releases.
  3. Its Australian lobby loads from an Australian connection and Australia is not on its restricted-country list.
  4. There is no “confirm you are outside Australia” declaration or similar trap in its pages.

The full reviews of OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex explain what each one offers Australians and where the catches are. All four passed our October 2026 checks; all four are offshore. Our safer casino guide covers the warning signs, and the Australian reviews hub shows the status of every brand we have rechecked.

24Casino FAQ

Has ACMA blocked 24Casino?

Yes. ACMA named 24Casino in its media release of 8 February 2023, and its domain is on the published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026).

Can Australians legally play at 24Casino?

The IGA offence belongs to the operator, not the player. But you have no Australian regulator to help in a dispute, access can disappear at any time, and the casino’s own terms may let it void winnings if you are in a restricted location.

Can I still get my money out of 24Casino?

Stop depositing, screenshot your balance, cancel any active bonus, complete verification and request the withdrawal in writing, keeping within the cashier limits. Save every support transcript.

Is 24Casino licensed?

Our old review gave the licence as Curaçao, with the operator named as Dama N.V.. We have not rechecked that for this update, and no offshore licence makes online casino games legal to offer in Australia.

What are the alternatives to 24Casino for Australians?

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex accepted Australians and were not blocked or named by ACMA when we checked in October 2026. All are offshore with no Australian licence, so read their reviews and terms first.
