King Billy is blocked in Australia. ACMA, the federal regulator, named it on 18 February 2021 among the illegal offshore gambling sites it had asked Australian internet providers to block, and 17 King Billy domains are on ACMA’s published blocked list, including kingbillywin.com (checked 16 October 2026). We no longer recommend King Billy to anyone in Australia. This review now covers what happened, what it means if you still have an account, and where to find casinos we review that do accept Australians.
Time for a straight answer, Bros. Our old King Billy review said its licence ensured “a safe and secure gaming experience”. That no longer holds for anyone in Australia, so we have removed the rating and our links and rewritten the page around what the regulator has published.
The alternatives listed at the top of this page all accepted Australians and were not on ACMA’s blocked list when we checked in October 2026. None holds an Australian licence, because Australia does not license online casinos. If gambling is causing you stress, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858, free and any time.

How King Billy Ended Up on ACMA’s Blocked List
Australia does not license online casinos. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA), offering online casino games or online pokies to people in Australia is an offence for the operator, and advertising them is banned as well. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) enforces the Act, and one of its main tools is website blocking: it asks Australian internet providers to block sites it has found in breach. ACMA reported 1,822 sites blocked since November 2019, as of 24 September 2026.
King Billy was part of the batch ACMA announced on 18 February 2021. 7Bit Casino, BitStarz, GetSlots, Golden Star Casino, GunsBet, iLucki, Joo Casino and Syndicate Casino were named in that release too, and their reviews carry the same status now. The list now holds 17 addresses for the brand. That pattern usually means the casino keeps switching to fresh mirror domains as the old ones are blocked, and ACMA keeps adding the mirrors as it finds them. The block is not new: it dates back to February 2021, and our review should have caught up with it long before now.
Why the Site May Still Open for You
ACMA’s blocks are applied by each internet provider against specific addresses, and offshore casinos rotate between mirror domains, so a blocked brand can still open on some connections. That tells you nothing about whether it is allowed to serve you. It is not, and the risks below apply either way.
Using a VPN or picking another country at sign-up is a bad idea. Most offshore terms say a false location voids winnings, and you would be giving the casino a ready-made reason to refuse a payout.
Already Have a King Billy Account? What to Do
Plenty of Aussies opened accounts before the block. If that is you, here is the order we would tackle it in.
- Stop topping up. Every new deposit adds to what you could lose if the account is frozen.
- Screenshot everything: balance, active bonuses, pending withdrawals and your transaction history, with the date showing.
- Check whether a bonus is running. Withdrawing during wagering normally forfeits the bonus and its winnings, and some casinos block the withdrawal altogether. Ask support in writing to remove it if you just want your cash.
- Complete verification once, properly. Expect to send photo ID, proof of address and proof of payment. Send clear copies, keep the originals and note the date.
- Mind the withdrawal caps. Our old review recorded limits of up to $60,000 a month depending on the method. Check the current figure in the cashier before you request a large amount, because offshore casinos change these without notice, and a big balance may come out in instalments.
- Request the withdrawal in writing through live chat or email, and save every transcript.
- Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Curaçao; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.

Our Old King Billy Review, Corrected
Our earlier review made the following points. We list them so returning readers can see what has changed, not as a current description of King Billy, and we have not reverified them for this update.
- Operator: Dama N.V.
- Licence: Curaçao
- Launched: 2017
- Welcome offer: 50 free spins on Elvis Frog at sign-up, with 30x wagering on deposit offers
- Withdrawal limits: up to $60,000 a month depending on the method
- Verdict: Said its licence ensured “a safe and secure gaming experience”
The licence point is the one that needs correcting. A licence from Curaçao lets a casino operate under that jurisdiction’s rules; it does not allow it to offer online casino games to people in Australia, and ACMA’s block applies whatever licence the casino holds.
Casinos We Review That Accept Australians
A casino now reaches our Australian list only if all of these hold on the day we check:
- None of its domains is on ACMA’s published blocked-websites list.
- The brand is not named in any of ACMA’s blocking releases.
- Its Australian lobby loads from an Australian connection and Australia is not on its restricted-country list.
- There is no “confirm you are outside Australia” declaration or similar trap in its pages.
OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex passed those checks in October 2026. They are offshore with no Australian licence, so read the full reviews and terms first. Our safer casino guide covers the warning signs, and the Australian reviews hub shows the status of every brand we have rechecked.
King Billy FAQ
Has ACMA blocked King Billy?
Yes. ACMA named King Billy in its media release of 18 February 2021, and 17 of its domains are on the published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026).
Can Australians legally play at King Billy?
The IGA offence belongs to the operator, not the player. But you have no Australian regulator to help in a dispute, access can disappear at any time, and the casino’s own terms may let it void winnings if you are in a restricted location.
Can I still get my money out of King Billy?
Stop depositing, screenshot your balance, cancel any active bonus, complete verification and request the withdrawal in writing, keeping within the cashier limits. Save every support transcript.
Is King Billy licensed?
Our old review gave the licence as Curaçao, with the operator named as Dama N.V.. We have not rechecked that for this update, and no offshore licence makes online casino games legal to offer in Australia.
What are the alternatives to King Billy for Australians?
OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex accepted Australians and were not blocked or named by ACMA when we checked in October 2026. All are offshore with no Australian licence, so read their reviews and terms first.
