Online Casino Reviews Australia (October 2026)

Australian online casino reviews, rechecked October 2026: five offshore casinos that still accept Aussies, the ACMA-blocked brands and the IGA rules.

Online casino reviews for Australians start with an awkward fact: no online casino is licensed to serve players in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes it an offence for an operator to offer online casino games to people in Australia, although the player is not committing an offence by playing. Every casino reviewed on this page is an offshore site, and in October 2026 we rechecked which of the brands we review still accept Australian players, which ones the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has had blocked, and which have closed or locked Australia out.

Righto, Bros, here is the straight version. We loaded each casino from an Australian connection, read its own terms and bonus rules, and checked its domains against ACMA’s published blocked list. Five casinos passed those checks and sit in the list below. A much longer group of brands we have reviewed over the years did not, and the directory further down says why, brand by brand. If gambling is causing you trouble, Gambling Help Online is free and open 24/7 on 1800 858 858, and BetStop lets you exclude yourself from every licensed Australian wagering provider in one go.

How the Five Casinos Compare (October 2026)

The table below uses each casino’s own pages as they appeared from an Australian connection between 6 and 8 October 2026. Offers and limits change often, so check the cashier before you deposit. Dollar amounts are the figures the casinos display in their Australian lobby.

Casino Welcome offer shown to Australians Minimum deposit for the welcome bonus Default wagering Withdrawal terms
OscarSpin Up to $2,500 + 225 spins and 1 bonus round A$20 40x the bonus; bonus winnings capped at 5x the bonus Processed within 3 business days; minimum €50 to €120 equivalent depending on country
Goldex 325% up to $57,000 + 500 free spins over four deposits 20 EUR/USD equivalent per the bonus terms 40x; winnings capped at 5x the bonus Weekly limit 3,000 EUR/USD, monthly 15,000 EUR/USD (higher for VIPs)
BDMBet Up to $4,000 + 150 free spins A$30 35x the bonus Processed within 72 hours; minimum €50 equivalent
Nine Casino Up to $5,000 + 150 spins + 3 bonus rounds A$22.50 40x the bonus Processed within 72 hours; minimum €50 to €120 equivalent depending on country
Jet4Bet Up to A$22,500 + 200 free spins over four deposits A$30 40x bonus and spin winnings, within 7 days Weekly limit 3,000 EUR/USD, monthly 15,000 EUR/USD (higher for VIPs)

Two patterns stand out. OscarSpin, BDMBet and Nine Casino run on the same casino platform, so their terms read almost word for word alike: sticky bonuses, a slot maximum bet of A$7.50 at Nine and BDMBet (A$10 at OscarSpin) while wagering, and live dealer games that count nothing towards wagering. Jet4Bet and Goldex share a different platform with non-sticky bonuses, bonus codes for each deposit and a weekly withdrawal ceiling. None of the five shows a licence number on its Australian site, which is common for offshore casinos that serve Australia and is one reason we treat every one of them as higher risk than a regulated local service.

Our Picks in Detail

OscarSpin

OscarSpin’s Australian homepage advertises a welcome offer of up to $2,500 plus 225 spins and one bonus round, spread over the first deposits, with a minimum deposit of A$20 for each stage. The fine print is where the value gets decided: bonuses are sticky, wagering defaults to 40x the bonus, and winnings from a bonus are capped at five times the bonus amount. Free spin winnings from the first three deposits are capped at A$80. Weekly cashback is 15%, and the promotions page also lists a Thursday bonus round with the code SPLASH.

The live lobby shows ICONIC21 and LuckyStreak tables, including LuckyStreak’s Blackjack VIP and two auto-roulette wheels. Withdrawals are processed within three business days before your payment provider takes over, and the casino can split wins above 10,000 €/$ into monthly instalments. Read our full OscarSpin review for games and banking.

Goldex

Goldex shows Australians the biggest headline on this page: 325% up to $57,000 plus 500 free spins across four deposits, claimed with the codes GOLDEX1 to GOLDEX4. Be careful with that figure. The bonus terms page lists the four matches in EUR/USD (100% up to 2,000, 100% up to 3,000, 50% up to 6,000 and 100% up to 4,000), so ask support which amounts apply to an Australian account before you deposit. Every welcome stage carries 40x wagering, winnings are capped at five times the bonus, and there is no maximum bet rule while a welcome bonus is active.

The live section is built around ICONIC21, with Imagine Live, Plati+ and Everest tables alongside. Withdrawals are capped at 3,000 EUR/USD a week and 15,000 EUR/USD a month (5,000 and 20,000 for VIP club members), which matters if you play big. Our Goldex review has the full breakdown.

BDMBet

BDMBet has the lightest default wagering of the five at 35x the bonus. Its welcome package is shown as up to $4,000 plus 150 free spins: 100% up to $500 on the first deposit, 100% up to $1,000 on the second, 75% up to $1,500 on the third and a bonus wheel on the fourth. Each welcome deposit must be at least A$30, the spins arrive at 50 a day for three days after the first deposit, and the welcome bonuses expire after seven days.

BDMBet also runs a sportsbook, weekly cashback of up to 25% and a high-roller bonus of 50% up to $1,500 with the code HIGHT. Live tables come from ICONIC21 and LuckyStreak. Withdrawals are processed within 72 hours, the minimum is €50 or equivalent, and wins over 15,000 €/$ can be paid in monthly instalments. See the BDMBet review.

Nine Casino

Nine Casino’s Australian homepage shows a welcome package of up to $5,000 plus 150 spins and three bonus rounds. The promotions page breaks that into 100% up to $500 plus 50 free spins, 100% up to $1,000 plus a bonus round, 75% up to $1,500 plus a bonus round, then a bonus wheel on the fourth deposit. The minimum qualifying deposit is A$22.50, default wagering is 40x the bonus, and spins are played on Gates of Olympus or a list of BGaming alternatives.

Its live lobby mixes Pragmatic Play Live tables (PowerUP Roulette, Speed Roulette, Sweet Bonanza CandyLand) with ICONIC21. Weekly cashback runs up to 25% and rakeback up to 18%. Note one quirk in Nine’s own terms: Australian players cannot play Amatic games and cannot win NetEnt jackpots. Our Nine Casino review covers the rest.

Jet4Bet

Jet4Bet publishes its welcome terms in Australian dollars, which makes it the easiest offer here to check. Four deposits of at least A$30 each, with the codes JET1 to JET4, unlock 100% up to A$3,000, 100% up to A$4,500, 50% up to A$9,000 and 100% up to A$6,000, plus free spins; the homepage totals the package at A$22,500 and 350 spins. Australian spins land on Coin Strike: Hold and Win at A$0.15 each. Bonus money and spin winnings must be wagered 40x within seven days, and the terms cap withdrawals from a bonus at five times the bonus unless the offer says otherwise.

For live players, Jet4Bet pays 10% weekly cashback on live games, and its lobby carries ICONIC21, Imagine Live, Winfinity and LuckyStreak tables. Withdrawals have a weekly limit of 3,000 EUR/USD. Read the Jet4Bet review.

Australia splits online gambling in two. Online wagering on sport and racing is legal when the bookmaker holds an Australian state or territory licence. Online casino games, online pokies and in-play online sports betting are prohibited interactive gambling services under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA). No Australian licence exists for an online casino, so every site on this page operates from offshore.

Rule What it means for you
Interactive Gambling Act 2001 Offering online casino games to people in Australia is an offence for the operator, not the player. You are not breaking the IGA by signing up, but you also get none of the protections a licensed Australian provider must give you.
ACMA website blocking ACMA asks internet providers to block illegal gambling sites. It reported 1,822 sites blocked since November 2019, as of 24 September 2026. Blocked casinos often move to mirror domains, which ACMA then adds to its list.
Credit card ban Since 11 June 2024, licensed Australian wagering providers may not accept credit cards. The ban covers licensed wagering, not offshore casinos, but your bank may still decline gambling transactions.
BetStop The National Self-Exclusion Register, live since 21 August 2023, covers every licensed online and phone wagering provider in Australia. It does not reach offshore casinos.
2026 reform The Gambling Reform Bill passed on 19 August 2026, with most measures starting on 1 January 2027. ACMA says it bans activity-based affiliate commissions.

Why does this matter when you pick a casino? Because an offshore casino answers to its own licensing body, if it has one, and not to any Australian regulator. If a withdrawal is refused, no Australian ombudsman can step in. A casino’s domain can also be blocked by ACMA at any time, and you may then struggle to reach your balance until the casino gives you a mirror address. That is why our first filter, before bonuses or games, is whether a brand’s domains appear on ACMA’s list.

How We Review Casinos for Australians

Every review on this site goes through the same checks, and in October 2026 we reran the first four for every brand in the directory below. A casino has to pass all of them before it can appear in a list on our Australian pages.

  1. Does it still take Australians? We load the casino from an Australian connection. A geo-block page, a parked domain or a site that will not load means the brand is out.
  2. Is it on ACMA’s blocked list? We search ACMA’s published list for the brand’s domains. If ACMA has had a brand blocked, we stop recommending it, even when a mirror domain still works.
  3. What do its own terms say? We read the general terms, the bonus terms and the restricted-country list on the casino’s own site. Australia must not be on the restricted list.
  4. Is the offer real for Australians? The welcome offer has to be shown in the Australian lobby, with a minimum deposit and a wagering requirement we can quote.
  5. How does it pay? Processing times, minimum withdrawals, weekly and monthly caps, and instalment rules for big wins all come from the casino’s terms.
  6. What can go wrong? We flag maximum-bet rules, win caps on bonuses, games that are closed to Australians and anything that looks designed to trip players up.

What We Look for in Bonus Terms

A big headline is cheap. The terms below decide whether a bonus is worth claiming, so they get more space in our reviews than the banner does.

Term What a fair version looks like What we saw at our five picks
Wagering 35x or less on the bonus only 35x (BDMBet) to 40x (the rest)
Sticky or non-sticky Non-sticky: you play your own money first and can walk away with it Non-sticky at Jet4Bet and Goldex; sticky at OscarSpin, BDMBet and Nine
Win cap None on deposit bonuses 5x the bonus at OscarSpin, Goldex and Jet4Bet (unless the offer says otherwise)
Maximum bet while wagering Clearly stated A$7.50 on slots at Nine and BDMBet, A$10 at OscarSpin; none on Goldex welcome bonuses
Time limit 14 days or more 7 days for welcome bonuses at all five
Live dealer contribution Stated in the terms 0% at OscarSpin, BDMBet and Nine (10% for live roulette and blackjack); 5% at Jet4Bet and Goldex

A worked example shows why the wagering line matters most. Take a 100% match on a A$100 deposit with 40x wagering on the bonus. You must bet A$4,000 before the bonus money becomes cash. On a pokie with a 96% return to player, the expected loss over A$4,000 of bets is about A$160, which is more than the A$100 bonus. The same bonus at 35x needs A$3,500 of bets and an expected loss of about A$140. Neither is free money; both are extra playing time with a negative expected value. Our welcome bonus guide and latest bonuses page go through more examples.

Games, Software and Live Tables

Australian lobbies at offshore casinos are not the same as the global ones. Game studios restrict some countries, and the casinos’ own terms say so. Nine Casino’s terms, for example, bar Australians from Amatic games and from winning NetEnt jackpots, and NetEnt’s licensing terms list Australia among the territories where its games may not be offered. Microgaming titles are also closed to Australian players under the terms at Nine, Jet4Bet and Goldex. In practice that means the AU lobbies lean on studios such as Pragmatic Play, BGaming, Playson and Booongo for pokies, and on ICONIC21, LuckyStreak, Imagine Live and Pragmatic Play Live for live tables.

If you care about a particular studio, check it from your own connection before you deposit. Our software guide and live casino guide for Australians cover which studios we saw at each casino.

Payments and Withdrawals

Payment pages at offshore casinos change constantly, so we quote the rules in the terms rather than a list of logos. Withdrawals at OscarSpin, BDMBet and Nine are processed within 72 hours or three business days, with a minimum of €50 or more depending on country. Jet4Bet and Goldex set a minimum withdrawal of 20 EUR/USD, or 30 CAD/NZD, and weekly and monthly caps. All five require identity checks before the first cash-out, and all five require you to wager a deposit at least once before you withdraw it.

Two Australian payment facts are worth knowing. POLi closed in Australia on 30 September 2023, so any page still promoting POLi deposits is out of date. And while the credit card ban applies to licensed wagering providers rather than offshore casinos, many Australian banks block gambling card payments on their own. Our payment methods hub and PayID page explain the options in more detail.

Our Australian Review Directory: Status in October 2026

We have reviewed more than 180 casinos for Australian readers since the site started, and many of those brands have changed. The tables below sort the most-read reviews by what we found on 6 to 8 October 2026. A link to a review is not a recommendation: only the five casinos in the list at the top of this page passed every check. If a review you are looking for is not in these tables, we have not rechecked it yet, so treat any offer in it as out of date until we do.

Casino Review What we found
OscarSpin OscarSpin review Loads from Australia, Australia not restricted, AU welcome offer and terms read
Goldex Goldex review Loads from Australia with an AU lobby; welcome amounts differ between promo page and terms
BDMBet BDMBet review Loads from Australia, Australia not restricted, 35x default wagering
Nine Casino Nine Casino review Loads from Australia, Australia not restricted, Amatic and NetEnt jackpots closed to Australians
Jet4Bet Jet4Bet review Loads from Australia, AUD bonus terms published

SlotLords SlotLords review AU lobby loads and Australia is not on its restricted list, but its bonus terms page would not load for us, so we could not confirm the wagering on its up to $6,750 + 300 spins welcome offer
OnlyWin OnlyWin review AU lobby loads, but the site advertises itself as “VPN friendly”, which we treat as a red flag for player protection

Offshore Licences and Where to Complain

When an offshore casino does show a licence, it is usually from Curaçao, Anjouan or, less often, Malta. None of them lets a casino serve Australians legally, because the IGA applies whatever licence the operator holds. They do decide where you can complain if something goes wrong, and the routes are weaker than many players expect.

Licence Regulator How complaints work
Curaçao Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA), under Curaçao’s new gaming law (Landsverordening op de kansspelen, LOK), in force since 24 December 2024 The CGA does not mediate individual disputes. Complain to the casino first, then to one of the seven CGA-certified alternative dispute resolution bodies (list dated 31 August 2026)
Anjouan Anjouan licensing authority The authority does not handle complaints itself. You complain through the site’s licence seal; the operator has 30 days to respond, game-outcome disputes must be raised within 14 days, then an operator-paid ADR service
Malta Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) The MGA’s Player Support Unit stopped ruling on individual disputes on 1 April 2019; complaints go to an ADR body such as eCOGRA

Two practical points follow. First, a licence seal is only useful if it can be checked: Curaçao licences are verified at cga.cw, and Anjouan licences by the seal ID on the casino’s site. Second, the CGA confirmed unauthorised access to its licensing portal on 17 and 22 September 2026, and the portal was still offline on 2 October 2026, although the CGA says existing licences remain valid. If you cannot verify a licence, assume you have no complaint route beyond the casino itself, and size your deposits accordingly.

If the offshore risks put you off, there are legal ways to have a punt in Australia. Online wagering on sport and racing is legal with a bookmaker licensed by an Australian state or territory, and those bookmakers must follow Australian rules: no credit cards, BetStop checks, deposit limit tools and activity statements. Land-based casinos operate in every state and the ACT under state and territory licences, and pubs and clubs in most states run pokies under state rules (Western Australia keeps them in its casino only). For free play with no real-money prizes, see our guide to social casinos in Australia. None of these options offers online casino games for real money, because Australian law does not allow that.

How to Spot a Casino You Should Skip

Most bad experiences at offshore casinos follow a handful of patterns. The warning signs below come up again and again in the terms we read and in the complaints players send us.

  • No company name and no licence number. Many offshore casinos that serve Australia publish neither. That does not make a site a scam, but it means you have nobody to complain to if things go wrong.
  • “VPN friendly” marketing. A casino that invites you to hide your location is telling you how much it values the rules. The same casinos usually reserve the right to void winnings from accounts that used a VPN.
  • Win caps on deposit bonuses. A cap of five times the bonus means a A$200 bonus can never turn into more than A$1,000 of withdrawable winnings, however lucky you get.
  • Payment requests to private accounts. A genuine casino will never ask you to pay a person by bank transfer or PayID to a mobile number. Scam gambling sites often do.
  • Short bonus windows. Seven days to wager 40x is tight. If you will not play daily, a bonus with a short clock will probably expire on you.
  • Instalment clauses. All five of our picks can split big wins into monthly payments. Read the threshold before you chase a jackpot.

A Pre-Deposit Checklist

  1. Search ACMA’s blocked list for the casino’s name.
  2. Find the restricted-country list in the terms and make sure Australia is not on it.
  3. Read the bonus terms for wagering, the win cap, the maximum bet and the time limit.
  4. Check the minimum withdrawal and the weekly and monthly limits.
  5. Upload your ID before your first deposit, so a win is not held up by checks.
  6. Set a deposit limit in the account settings on day one.

Responsible Gambling Help in Australia

Offshore casinos are not connected to Australia’s safety net, so set your own guard rails before you play. Use the deposit limits, loss limits and time-outs in each casino’s account settings, and keep a separate budget for gambling that you can afford to lose.

  • Gambling Help Online: free, confidential support by phone, chat or email, 24 hours a day, on 1800 858 858.
  • BetStop: the National Self-Exclusion Register. It covers all licensed Australian online and phone wagering providers, with exclusions from 3 months up to a lifetime. ACMA reported 65,430 registrations by 30 June 2026. It does not cover offshore casinos, so also use each casino’s own self-exclusion tool.
  • Bank gambling blocks: most major Australian banks let you block gambling transactions on your cards from their apps.

Our responsible gaming page lists more tools and support services.

Frequently Asked Questions

No online casino holds an Australian licence. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, offering online casino games to people in Australia is an offence for the operator, not the player. Licensed online wagering on sport and racing is legal.

Which online casinos accept Australian players in October 2026?

Of the brands we review, OscarSpin, Goldex, BDMBet, Nine Casino and Jet4Bet loaded from an Australian connection, do not list Australia as restricted and were not on ACMA’s blocked list when we checked on 8 October 2026. They are offshore sites without an Australian licence.

Their domains appear on ACMA’s list of blocked illegal gambling websites. We stopped recommending every brand whose domains ACMA has had blocked, even when a mirror site still works.

Can I get in trouble for playing at an offshore casino?

The IGA targets operators and advertisers, not players, so you do not commit an IGA offence by playing. The risks are practical ones: no Australian regulator can help with a dispute, and ACMA can have the site blocked at any time.

Are gambling winnings taxed in Australia?

For recreational players, the Australian Taxation Office does not treat gambling winnings as income. Someone who gambles as a business may be taxed. If you are unsure, ask the ATO or a registered tax agent.

Does BetStop block offshore casinos?
