Cleobetra has been blocked in Australia since 16 April 2026, when ACMA asked Australian internet providers to cut access to it. Two Cleobetra addresses are on ACMA’s published blocked list (cleobetra-3236.com and cleobetra2.com, checked 16 October 2026). That is why this page is no longer a recommendation: it is a status review covering the block, your options as an existing player and the alternatives we have rechecked.

Fair warning, Bros: this page has changed. Our old Cleobetra review ran a “fit for a pharaoh” verdict. That no longer holds for anyone in Australia, so we have removed the rating and our links and rewritten the page around what the regulator has published.

The alternatives listed at the top of this page all accepted Australians and were not on ACMA’s blocked list when we checked in October 2026. None holds an Australian licence, because Australia does not license online casinos. If gambling is causing you stress, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858, free and any time.

How Cleobetra Ended Up on ACMA’s Blocked List

Australia does not license online casinos. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA), offering online casino games or online pokies to people in Australia is an offence for the operator, and advertising them is banned as well. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) enforces the Act, and one of its main tools is website blocking: it asks Australian internet providers to block sites it has found in breach. ACMA reported 1,822 sites blocked since November 2019, as of 24 September 2026.

Cleobetra was part of the batch ACMA announced on 16 April 2026. Gransino, Mafia Casino, Magius and Talismania were named in that release too, and their reviews carry the same status now. It is one of the more recent blocks, which is why the page has only now been rewritten.

A Site That Opens Is Not a Site That Is Allowed

ACMA’s blocks are applied by each internet provider against specific addresses, and offshore casinos rotate between mirror domains, so a blocked brand can still open on some connections. That tells you nothing about whether it is allowed to serve you. It is not, and the risks below apply either way.

Using a VPN or picking another country at sign-up is a bad idea. Most offshore terms say a false location voids winnings, and you would be giving the casino a ready-made reason to refuse a payout.

If You Already Play at Cleobetra

Plenty of Aussies opened accounts before the block. If that is you, here is the order we would tackle it in.

  1. Stop depositing. Any new deposit adds to the amount at risk, so switch off saved cards and auto top-ups too.
  2. Take screenshots of your balance, pending withdrawals, bonus status and transaction history, with dates.
  3. Deal with any active bonus. Bonus money usually locks your balance until wagering is complete. If you only want your cash, ask support in writing to cancel the bonus first.
  4. Get verification done early. Offshore casinos hold payouts until ID, address and payment checks clear, so upload clear copies once and keep a record of when you sent them.
  5. Mind the withdrawal caps. Check the daily, weekly and monthly limits in the cashier or terms before you request a large amount, because a big balance may come out in instalments.
  6. Put the request in writing. Use live chat or email rather than phone, and save the transcripts.
  7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Anjouan Gaming License Authority; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.

BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, does not cover offshore casinos, so if you want out for good, ask Cleobetra to close and exclude your account directly. For free, confidential support, Gambling Help Online is on 1800 858 858. Our responsible gaming page lists more services.

What Changed Since Our Old Review

Our earlier review made the following points. We list them so returning readers can see what has changed, not as a current description of Cleobetra, and we have not reverified them for this update.

  • Operator: KNG Marketing Ltd
  • Licence: Anjouan Gaming License Authority
  • Launched: June 2025
  • Welcome offer: 50% up to €200 plus 50 free spins
  • Verdict: Ran a “fit for a pharaoh” verdict

However the licence is described, it does not make Cleobetra legal for Australians. No foreign licence permits online casino games or pokies to be offered here, and the block shows ACMA has found Cleobetra in breach.

How We Check Casinos for Australians Now

Every brand on our Australian pages has to pass the same checks, and we rerun them regularly:

  1. None of its domains is on ACMA’s published blocked-websites list.
  2. The brand is not named in any of ACMA’s blocking releases.
  3. Its Australian lobby loads from an Australian connection and Australia is not on its restricted-country list.
  4. There is no “confirm you are outside Australia” declaration or similar trap in its pages.

The full reviews of OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex explain what each one offers Australians and where the catches are. All four passed our October 2026 checks; all four are offshore. Our safer casino guide covers the warning signs, and the Australian reviews hub shows the status of every brand we have rechecked.

Cleobetra FAQ

Is Cleobetra blocked in Australia?

Yes. ACMA named Cleobetra in its media release of 16 April 2026, and 2 of its domains are on the published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026).

Is it illegal for me to play at Cleobetra?

The IGA offence belongs to the operator, not the player. But you have no Australian regulator to help in a dispute, access can disappear at any time, and the casino’s own terms may let it void winnings if you are in a restricted location.

How do I withdraw my money from Cleobetra?

Stop depositing, screenshot your balance, cancel any active bonus, complete verification and request the withdrawal in writing, keeping within the cashier limits. Save every support transcript.

Is Cleobetra licensed?

Our old review gave the licence as Anjouan Gaming License Authority, with the operator named as KNG Marketing Ltd. We have not rechecked that for this update, and no offshore licence makes online casino games legal to offer in Australia.

Which casinos can I use instead of Cleobetra?

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex accepted Australians and were not blocked or named by ACMA when we checked in October 2026. All are offshore with no Australian licence, so read their reviews and terms first.

Where can I get help with gambling?

Call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858, any time, free and confidential. BetStop covers licensed Australian wagering providers only, so self-exclude with offshore casinos directly as well.
