Dazard Casino Review: Blocked by ACMA (Status Update)

Dazard has been blocked in Australia since 26 May 2022, when ACMA asked Australian internet providers to cut access to it. Two Dazard addresses are on ACMA’s published blocked list (dazard.com and dazard1.com, checked 16 October 2026). That is why this page is no longer a recommendation: it is a status review covering the block, your options as an existing player and the alternatives we have rechecked.

Why ACMA Blocked Dazard

Online casino games and online pokies cannot legally be offered to people in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes that an offence for the operator, not the player, and bans the advertising too. ACMA polices the Act, and when an investigation finds an offshore site in breach it asks Australian internet service providers to block it. By 24 September 2026 the regulator counted 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate sites blocked since it began in November 2019.

Dazard was part of the batch ACMA announced on 26 May 2022. Cobra Casino, LevelUp, RocketPlay, Stay Casino and Wild Tornado were named in that release too, and their reviews carry the same status now. The block is not new: it dates back to May 2022, and our review should have caught up with it long before now.

A Site That Opens Is Not a Site That Is Allowed

ACMA’s blocks are applied by each internet provider against specific addresses, and offshore casinos rotate between mirror domains, so a blocked brand can still open on some connections. That tells you nothing about whether it is allowed to serve you. It is not, and the risks below apply either way.

Do not use a VPN to get around a block or a casino’s country rules. Offshore casino terms routinely treat a disguised location as a breach and let the casino keep any winnings and close the account.

If you signed up before the block and still have money there, focus on getting it out cleanly and on keeping records.

1. Stop topping up. Every new deposit adds to what you could lose if the account is frozen.
2. Screenshot everything: balance, active bonuses, pending withdrawals and your transaction history, with the date showing.
3. Check whether a bonus is running. Withdrawing during wagering normally forfeits the bonus and its winnings, and some casinos block the withdrawal altogether. Ask support in writing to remove it if you just want your cash.
4. Complete verification once, properly. Expect to send photo ID, proof of address and proof of payment. Send clear copies, keep the originals and note the date.
5. Mind the withdrawal caps. Our old review recorded limits of A$7,500 a day, A$15,000 a week and A$45,000 a month. Check the current figure in the cashier before you request a large amount, because offshore casinos change these without notice, and a big balance may come out in instalments.
6. Request the withdrawal in writing through live chat or email, and save every transcript.
7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Curaçao; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.

The licence point is the one that needs correcting. A licence from Curaçao lets a casino operate under that jurisdiction’s rules; it does not allow it to offer online casino games to people in Australia, and ACMA’s block applies whatever licence the casino holds.
