Magius Casino Review: Blocked by ACMA (Status Update)

Magius is blocked in Australia. ACMA, the federal regulator, named it on 16 April 2026 among the illegal offshore gambling sites it had asked Australian internet providers to block, and two Magius addresses are on ACMA’s published blocked list (magius-1182.com and magius-9804.com, checked 16 October 2026). We no longer recommend Magius to anyone in Australia. This review now covers what happened, what it means if you still have an account, and where to find casinos we review that do accept Australians.

Time for a straight answer, Bros. Our old Magius review answered the safety question with “Yes” and promoted a no-KYC policy for standard withdrawals. What Happened to Magius in Australia

Online casino games and online pokies cannot legally be offered to people in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes that an offence for the operator, not the player, and bans the advertising too. ACMA polices the Act, and when an investigation finds an offshore site in breach it asks Australian internet service providers to block it. By 24 September 2026 the regulator counted 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate sites blocked since it began in November 2019.

Magius was part of the batch ACMA announced on 16 April 2026. Cleobetra, Gransino, Mafia Casino and Talismania were named in that release too, and their reviews carry the same status now. It is one of the more recent blocks, which is why the page has only now been rewritten.

Why the Site May Still Open for You

ACMA’s blocks are applied by each internet provider against specific addresses, and offshore casinos rotate between mirror domains, so a blocked brand can still open on some connections. That tells you nothing about whether it is allowed to serve you. It is not, and the risks below apply either way.

Using a VPN or picking another country at sign-up is a bad idea. Most offshore terms say a false location voids winnings, and you would be giving the casino a ready-made reason to refuse a payout.

Still Holding a Balance at Magius?

If you signed up before the block and still have money there, focus on getting it out cleanly and on keeping records.

1. Stop topping up. Every new deposit adds to what you could lose if the account is frozen.

7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay.
