Rooli is blocked in Australia. ACMA, the federal regulator, named it on 17 October 2024 among the illegal offshore gambling sites it had asked Australian internet providers to block, and four Rooli addresses are on ACMA’s published blocked list (rooli.com, rooli1.com, rooli253.com and rooli3.com, checked 16 October 2026). We no longer recommend Rooli to anyone in Australia. This review now covers what happened, what it means if you still have an account, and where to find casinos we review that do accept Australians.

No sugar-coating this one. Our old Rooli review promised “fast, fee-free withdrawals”. We have pulled the rating and every sign-up link, and rebuilt the page from ACMA’s own records.

The casinos in the box at the top of this page are the alternatives we rechecked in October 2026: each accepts Australians and none is on ACMA’s blocked list. They are offshore sites without an Australian licence, so read their terms before you sign up. How Rooli Ended Up on ACMA’s Blocked List

Online casino games and online pokies cannot legally be offered to people in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes that an offence for the operator, not the player, and bans the advertising too. ACMA polices the Act, and when an investigation finds an offshore site in breach it asks Australian internet service providers to block it. By 24 September 2026 the regulator counted 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate sites blocked since it began in November 2019.

Rooli was part of the batch ACMA announced on 17 October 2024. The list now holds 4 addresses for the brand. That pattern usually means the casino keeps switching to fresh mirror domains as the old ones are blocked, and ACMA keeps adding the mirrors as it finds them. The block is not new: it dates back to October 2024, and our review should have caught up with it long before now.

Why the Site May Still Open for You

Blocking is carried out by internet providers, not by the casino, so it does not catch every connection. If you see ACMA’s “website blocked” page, the domain is blocked. If you do not, your provider may not have applied the block yet, or you may have reached a mirror that is not on the list. Neither makes the casino legal to offer its games in Australia.

Do not use a VPN to get around a block or a casino’s country rules. Offshore casino terms routinely treat a disguised location as a breach and let the casino keep any winnings and close the account.

Still Holding a Balance at Rooli?

If you joined before the block, the aim is simple: stop the money going in, get any balance out, and keep a paper trail in case something goes wrong.

  1. Stop depositing. Any new deposit adds to the amount at risk, so switch off saved cards and auto top-ups too.
  2. Take screenshots of your balance, pending withdrawals, bonus status and transaction history, with dates.
  3. Deal with any active bonus. Bonus money usually locks your balance until wagering is complete. If you only want your cash, ask support in writing to cancel the bonus first.
  4. Get verification done early. Offshore casinos hold payouts until ID, address and payment checks clear, so upload clear copies once and keep a record of when you sent them.
  5. Mind the withdrawal caps. Check the daily, weekly and monthly limits in the cashier or terms before you request a large amount, because a big balance may come out in instalments.
  6. Put the request in writing. Use live chat or email rather than phone, and save the transcripts.
  7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Curaçao; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.

If chasing a balance is affecting your sleep, money or relationships, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858. BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, covers licensed Australian wagering providers only, so ask Rooli support to close your account as well. Our Old Rooli Review, Corrected

Our earlier review made the following points. We list them so returning readers can see what has changed, not as a current description of Rooli, and we have not reverified them for this update.

  • Operator: Dama N.V.
  • Licence: Curaçao
  • Welcome offer: offers at 35x
  • Verdict: Promised “fast, fee-free withdrawals”

The licence point is the one that needs correcting. A licence from Curaçao lets a casino operate under that jurisdiction’s rules; it does not allow it to offer online casino games to people in Australia, and ACMA’s block applies whatever licence the casino holds.

How We Check Casinos for Australians Now

A casino now reaches our Australian list only if all of these hold on the day we check:

  1. None of its domains is on ACMA’s published blocked-websites list.
  2. The brand is not named in any of ACMA’s blocking releases.
  3. Its Australian lobby loads from an Australian connection and Australia is not on its restricted-country list.
  4. There is no “confirm you are outside Australia” declaration or similar trap in its pages.

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex passed those checks in October 2026. They are offshore with no Australian licence, so read the full reviews and terms first. Our safer casino guide covers the warning signs, and the Australian reviews hub shows the status of every brand we have rechecked.

Rooli FAQ

Is Rooli blocked in Australia?

Yes. ACMA named Rooli in its media release of 17 October 2024, and 4 of its domains are on the published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026).

Is it illegal for me to play at Rooli?

The IGA offence belongs to the operator, not the player. But you have no Australian regulator to help in a dispute, access can disappear at any time, and the casino’s own terms may let it void winnings if you are in a restricted location.

How do I withdraw my money from Rooli?

Stop depositing, screenshot your balance, cancel any active bonus, complete verification and request the withdrawal in writing, keeping within the cashier limits. Save every support transcript.

Is Rooli licensed?

Our old review gave the licence as Curaçao, with the operator named as Dama N.V.. We have not rechecked that for this update, and no offshore licence makes online casino games legal to offer in Australia.

Which casinos can I use instead of Rooli?

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex accepted Australians and were not blocked or named by ACMA when we checked in October 2026. All are offshore with no Australian licence, so read their reviews and terms first.

Where can I get help with gambling?
