Wonaco is blocked in Australia. ACMA, the federal regulator, named it on 21 May 2026 among the illegal offshore gambling sites it had asked Australian internet providers to block, and 20 Wonaco domains are on ACMA’s published blocked list, including wonaco.com (checked 16 October 2026). We no longer recommend Wonaco to anyone in Australia. This review now covers what happened, what it means if you still have an account, and where to find casinos we review that do accept Australians.

Fair warning, Bros: this page has changed. Our old Wonaco review said it was “known for being reliable and keeping players happy”. We have pulled the rating and every sign-up link, and rebuilt the page from ACMA’s own records.

The casinos in the box at the top of this page are the alternatives we rechecked in October 2026: each accepts Australians and none is on ACMA’s blocked list. They are offshore sites without an Australian licence, so read their terms before you sign up. Why ACMA Blocked Wonaco

Here is the short version of the law. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 bans offering online casino games and online pokies to Australians, and Australia issues no licences for them, so every online casino that takes Australian players is offshore and outside the Act. ACMA, the regulator, investigates those sites and asks local internet providers to block the ones it finds in breach. As of 24 September 2026 it had blocked 1,822 since November 2019.

Wonaco was part of the batch ACMA announced on 21 May 2026. The list now holds 20 addresses for the brand. That pattern usually means the casino keeps switching to fresh mirror domains as the old ones are blocked, and ACMA keeps adding the mirrors as it finds them. This is a recent block, and we updated the page once we confirmed it.

Why the Site May Still Open for You

ACMA’s blocks are applied by each internet provider against specific addresses, and offshore casinos rotate between mirror domains, so a blocked brand can still open on some connections. That tells you nothing about whether it is allowed to serve you. It is not, and the risks below apply either way.

Do not use a VPN to get around a block or a casino’s country rules. Offshore casino terms routinely treat a disguised location as a breach and let the casino keep any winnings and close the account.

If You Already Play at Wonaco

If you signed up before the block and still have money there, focus on getting it out cleanly and on keeping records.

  1. Stop topping up. Every new deposit adds to what you could lose if the account is frozen.
  2. Screenshot everything: balance, active bonuses, pending withdrawals and your transaction history, with the date showing.
  3. Check whether a bonus is running. Withdrawing during wagering normally forfeits the bonus and its winnings, and some casinos block the withdrawal altogether. Ask support in writing to remove it if you just want your cash.
  4. Complete verification once, properly. Expect to send photo ID, proof of address and proof of payment. Send clear copies, keep the originals and note the date.
  5. Mind the withdrawal caps. Check the daily, weekly and monthly limits in the cashier or terms before you request a large amount, because a big balance may come out in instalments.
  6. Request the withdrawal in writing through live chat or email, and save every transcript.
  7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Curaçao; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.

If chasing a balance is affecting your sleep, money or relationships, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858. BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, covers licensed Australian wagering providers only, so ask Wonaco support to close your account as well. What Our Old Wonaco Review Said

For anyone comparing notes, these are the main points our previous Wonaco review made. They are recorded here as old claims; we have not rechecked them against Wonaco’s current pages, and they do not change its status.

  • Operator: Rabidi N.V.
  • Licence: Curaçao
  • Launched: 2024
  • Welcome offer: a welcome package at 35x deposit plus bonus and 40x free spin winnings
  • Verdict: Said it was “known for being reliable and keeping players happy”

The licence point is the one that needs correcting. A licence from Curaçao lets a casino operate under that jurisdiction’s rules; it does not allow it to offer online casino games to people in Australia, and ACMA’s block applies whatever licence the casino holds.

How We Check Casinos for Australians Now

A casino now reaches our Australian list only if all of these hold on the day we check:

  1. None of its domains is on ACMA’s published blocked-websites list.
  2. The brand is not named in any of ACMA’s blocking releases.
  3. Its Australian lobby loads from an Australian connection and Australia is not on its restricted-country list.
  4. There is no “confirm you are outside Australia” declaration or similar trap in its pages.

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex passed those checks in October 2026. They are offshore with no Australian licence, so read the full reviews and terms first. Our safer casino guide covers the warning signs, and the Australian reviews hub shows the status of every brand we have rechecked.

Wonaco FAQ

Has ACMA blocked Wonaco?

Yes. ACMA named Wonaco in its media release of 21 May 2026, and 20 of its domains are on the published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026).

Can Australians legally play at Wonaco?

The IGA offence belongs to the operator, not the player. But you have no Australian regulator to help in a dispute, access can disappear at any time, and the casino’s own terms may let it void winnings if you are in a restricted location.

Can I still get my money out of Wonaco?

Stop depositing, screenshot your balance, cancel any active bonus, complete verification and request the withdrawal in writing, keeping within the cashier limits. Save every support transcript.

Is Wonaco licensed?

Our old review gave the licence as Curaçao, with the operator named as Rabidi N.V.. We have not rechecked that for this update, and no offshore licence makes online casino games legal to offer in Australia.

What are the alternatives to Wonaco for Australians?

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex accepted Australians and were not blocked or named by ACMA when we checked in October 2026. All are offshore with no Australian licence, so read their reviews and terms first.
