Online Casino Reviews for Australians (October 2026)
Online casino reviews for Australians, checked October 2026: five offshore casinos compared on wagering, caps and payouts, plus brands we dropped.
Market: Australia
Disclosure We may earn a commission if you use our links. It never changes our ratings or the order of a list. Editorial policy
Our Australian online casino reviews start from one fact: no online casino is licensed to offer casino games to people in Australia, so every casino reviewed here is an offshore site. In October 2026 we rechecked the brands we cover from an Australian connection, against ACMA’s blocked list and against each casino’s own terms. Five casinos passed: OscarSpin, BDMBet, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex. This page compares them side by side, explains exactly how we review, and shows which once-popular brands we have dropped and why.
G’day, Bros. Reviews are only useful if they tell you the bits the casino would rather you skimmed, so we lead with wagering, caps and withdrawal limits and leave the star-spangled banners to the casinos. The Legal Picture Behind Every Review
The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA) makes it an offence for an operator to offer online casino games, including online pokies, to people in Australia. The offence is the operator’s, not the player’s. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) enforces the Act and reports 1,822 illegal gambling sites blocked since November 2019, as of 24 September 2026.
For you, that means three things. BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register live since 21 August 2023, covers licensed Australian wagering providers only, not offshore casinos. The credit card ban that has applied to licensed wagering since 11 June 2024 does not reach them, although many banks block gambling card payments on their own. And if an offshore casino will not pay, no Australian regulator or ombudsman can take your complaint. The Gambling Reform Bill passed on 19 August 2026, with most measures from 1 January 2027, does not change any of that for offshore casinos.
Our reviews do not pretend otherwise. They help you choose between offshore casinos on the evidence we can check, and they say plainly when a brand fails those checks.
How We Review Casinos for Australians
Every review on this site is rebuilt from the casino’s own pages, read from an Australian connection. We do not invent test deposits or player stories, and we do not publish ratings we cannot back with a check. These are the ten things we look at, in the order we look at them:
| # | What we check | Where the answer comes from | What fails a casino |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ACMA status | ACMA’s published list of blocked gambling websites | Any of the brand’s domains on the list |
| 2 | Does it accept Australia? | The restricted-country clause in its terms | Australia on the list, or a “confirm you are outside Australia” banner |
| 3 | Does it load from Australia? | A visit through an Australian connection | A country block page, or a site that only works through a VPN |
| 4 | Who runs it and under what licence | The terms and footer | Not a fail on its own, but we say when nothing is shown |
| 5 | Welcome offer for Australians | The AU promo page and the bonus terms | No readable bonus terms |
| 6 | Bonus fine print | Bonus terms: wagering, max bet, win caps, time limits, game contributions | Terms that contradict the promo with no way to confirm |
| 7 | Withdrawals | Payments or withdrawal section of the terms | No published processing time or limits |
| 8 | Games available to Australians | The AU lobby and any studio restriction clauses | We report restrictions; they rarely fail a casino |
| 9 | Mobile access | The casino’s app or install page | We report what is offered |
| 10 | Responsible gambling tools | Account settings and the responsible gaming page | No deposit limits or self-exclusion |
Checks 1 to 3 are pass-or-fail. A brand that fails any of them is not listed, however good its games or bonus look. That is why the list on this page is short.
The Five Casinos Compared (October 2026)
The figures below come from each casino’s own pages as shown to an Australian connection between 6 and 8 October 2026. Dollar amounts are the ones displayed in the Australian lobby.
| Casino | Welcome offer shown to Australians | Min deposit | Wagering | Max bet while wagering | Cashback |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OscarSpin | Up to $2,500 + 225 spins + 1 bonus round | A$20 | 40x the bonus | A$10 | 15% weekly |
| BDMBet | Up to $4,000 + 150 free spins | A$30 | 35x the bonus | A$7.50 pokies, A$15 live | Up to 25% weekly |
| Nine Casino | Up to $5,000 + 150 spins + 3 bonus rounds | A$22.50 | 40x the bonus | A$7.50 pokies, A$15 live | Up to 25% weekly; rakeback up to 18% |
| Jet4Bet | Up to A$22,500 + 200 free spins (codes JET1 to JET4) | A$30 | 40x within 7 days | Set by the offer | 10% weekly on live games |
| Goldex | 325% up to $57,000 + 500 free spins (codes GOLDEX1 to GOLDEX4) | 20 EUR/USD equivalent per its terms | 40x | No max bet on welcome bonuses | Weekly cashback advertised |
| Casino | Bonus win cap | Free spin rules | Live games toward wagering | Withdrawals |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OscarSpin | 5x the bonus | Welcome spin winnings capped at A$80 | 0%; live roulette and blackjack 10% | Processed within 3 business days; wins over 10,000 €/$ can be split into monthly instalments |
| BDMBet | Per offer | Sign-up spin winnings capped at EUR 50 equivalent | 0%; live roulette and blackjack 10% | Processed within 72 hours; minimum €50 equivalent |
| Nine Casino | Per offer | Sign-up spin winnings capped at EUR 50 equivalent | 0%; live roulette and blackjack 10% | Processed within 72 hours |
| Jet4Bet | Withdrawals from a bonus capped at 5x the bonus unless stated | AU spins on Coin Strike: Hold and Win at A$0.15 | Live dealer games 5% | 3,000 EUR/USD a week, 15,000 a month (VIP 5,000 and 20,000) |
| Goldex | 5x the bonus | Spin winnings capped at 10x the spin bonus | Live dealer card games 5% | 3,000 EUR/USD a week, 15,000 a month (VIP 5,000 and 20,000) |
None of the five shows a licence number on its Australian site, and none is licensed in Australia. We state that rather than repeat licence claims from older reviews that the casinos’ current pages do not support.
Our Reviews in Brief
OscarSpin: Lowest Entry Point
OscarSpin lets Australians start a welcome bonus from A$20, the lowest of the five, and offers up to $2,500 plus 225 spins and one bonus round across the first deposits. Its homepage explains its mobile app (a progressive web app installed from the browser) and says first-time withdrawal verification takes about 48 hours or less, after which withdrawals are processed within three business days.
- Good: A$20 minimum deposit; 15% weekly cashback; clear app and verification explanations.
- Watch: 40x wagering with a 5x win cap; welcome spin winnings capped at A$80; live games count 0% (live roulette and blackjack 10%).
- Suits: casual pokies players with small budgets.
Our headline and terms check found one gap: the “225 spins” headline is hard to reconcile with the terms (50 spins a day for five days after the first deposit) and the promo card (75 more spins on the third deposit). Read the full OscarSpin review.
BDMBet: Cheapest Bonus to Clear
BDMBet’s default wagering of 35x is the lowest of the five, so its up to $4,000 plus 150 free spins package (100% up to $500, 100% up to $1,000, 75% up to $1,500, then a bonus wheel) costs less to work through per bonus dollar. Weekly cashback reaches 25%. Its live lobby features ICONIC21 and LuckyStreak tables.
- Good: 35x wagering; up to 25% weekly cashback; withdrawals processed within 72 hours.
- Watch: strict max bets while wagering (A$7.50 pokies, A$15 live); sign-up spin winnings capped at EUR 50 equivalent; €50 minimum withdrawal.
- Suits: players who want to take a bonus and actually finish it.

Nine Casino: Widest Studio Choice on Its Platform
Nine runs on the same platform as BDMBet, with 40x wagering on up to $5,000 plus 150 spins and three bonus rounds from a A$22.50 minimum. It was the only one of the five with Pragmatic Play Live tables in the Australian lobby, and it runs a $15,000 live tournament. Its terms close Amatic games and NetEnt jackpots to Australians, which is honest but limits the pokies choice.
- Good: Pragmatic Play Live tables; up to 25% cashback and up to 18% rakeback; withdrawals processed within 72 hours.
- Watch: 40x wagering; live games count 0% (roulette and blackjack 10%); game-studio restrictions for Australia.
- Suits: players who mix pokies with live tables and want ongoing cashback.

Jet4Bet: Terms in Australian Dollars
Jet4Bet is the clearest of the five on currency: its bonus terms are published in AUD. The package is up to A$22,500 plus 200 free spins across four deposits of at least A$30, with 40x wagering within seven days and Australian spins on Coin Strike: Hold and Win at A$0.15 each. Its live lobby was the widest we saw, with tables from Live Vegas, Creedroomz, ICONIC21, Imaginelive, Plati+, Winfinity, LuckyStreak and others.
- Good: AUD terms; deep live lobby; 10% weekly cashback on live games; app page with iOS and Android buttons.
- Watch: 7-day wagering window; unused bonus expires 3 days after crediting; withdrawals capped at 3,000 EUR/USD a week.
- Suits: live dealer players and anyone who wants the terms in dollars they understand.

Goldex: Biggest Headline, Read the Terms
Goldex shares Jet4Bet’s platform and caps, and shows Australians the largest headline of the five: 325% up to $57,000 plus 500 free spins across four deposits. Its bonus terms list much smaller matches in EUR/USD (100% up to 2,000, 100% up to 3,000, 50% up to 6,000 and 100% up to 4,000), so the honest advice is to confirm the Australian amounts with support in writing first. In its favour, welcome bonuses carry no maximum bet rule, and free spin winnings are capped at ten times the spin bonus rather than a small flat amount.
- Good: no max bet on welcome bonuses; generous spin win cap; strong roulette lobby including French and European tables.
- Watch: promo page and terms disagree; 40x wagering with a 5x win cap; 3,000 EUR/USD weekly withdrawal cap.
- Suits: experienced players who read terms before they deposit.

Ongoing Promotions After the Welcome Bonus
A welcome bonus is used once. What you get every week afterwards often matters more, and cashback in particular tends to carry light wagering compared with deposit matches. This is what each casino advertised to Australians in October 2026:
| Casino | Regular offers we saw | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| OscarSpin | 15% weekly cashback; a Thursday bonus round with the code SPLASH; the Daily Lucky Spin tournament with an AU$3,000 prize pool renewed daily; the long-running Spinoleague tournament | Tournaments reward volume; set a budget before you chase a leaderboard |
| BDMBet | Weekly cashback up to 25% | The top cashback rate depends on your loyalty level |
| Nine Casino | Weekly cashback up to 25%, rakeback up to 18%, a $15,000 live tournament and a 100,000-spin prize lottery | Rakeback returns a share of the house edge on your bets, win or lose |
| Jet4Bet | 10% weekly cashback on live games; weekday free spin reloads | Spin reloads carry their own wagering; check each one |
| Goldex | Weekly cashback and weekday spin reloads | Same platform rules as Jet4Bet |
A quick way to value cashback: 15% weekly cashback on a week where you lose A$200 returns A$30. It does not change the house edge on any bet, it only softens a losing week, so it is worth more to a steady low-stakes player than to someone chasing a big win. Our cashback bonus guide and reload bonus guide compare these offers in more detail.
Bonus Terms Glossary: The Words That Decide a Review
Every review on this site uses the same terms. Here is what they mean in plain English, with the figures from the five casinos above.
- Wagering requirement: how many times you must bet the bonus before it becomes withdrawable cash. At 40x, a A$100 bonus needs A$4,000 of bets. BDMBet uses 35x; the other four use 40x.
- Maximum bet: the largest stake allowed while a bonus is active. Going over it, even once, usually voids the bonus. Nine and BDMBet set A$7.50 on pokies and A$15 on live games; OscarSpin sets A$10; Goldex sets none on welcome bonuses.
- Win cap: the most you can withdraw from bonus play. A 5x cap on a A$200 bonus means A$1,000 at most, however much the balance grows.
- Game contribution: how much of each bet counts toward wagering. Pokies usually count 100%; live games count 0% to 10% at these five.
- Validity: how long you have to finish wagering. Seven days is common here, which means steady daily play to finish a 40x bonus.
- Spin value: the stake each free spin is played at. Jet4Bet’s Australian spins are A$0.15 each, so 100 spins are A$15 of play.
- Deposit turnover: a separate rule that each deposit must be wagered before it can be withdrawn, even without a bonus.
Check a Casino Yourself in Five Minutes
- Open ACMA’s blocked gambling websites page and search the casino’s domain. If it, or a numbered version of it, is listed, stop there.
- Open the casino’s terms and conditions and search the page for “restricted” or “prohibited”. Make sure Australia is not on the list.
- Look for any banner or tick box asking you to confirm you are outside Australia. If you see one, the casino can later rely on it to refuse a payout.
- Open the bonus terms and note four numbers: wagering, maximum bet, win cap and time limit. Compare them with the promo banner.
- Find the withdrawal section and note the processing time, minimum withdrawal and any weekly or monthly cap.
- Check the responsible gaming page for deposit limits and self-exclusion, and set a limit before your first deposit.
If a casino makes any of these steps hard, for example by hiding its terms behind a login, that tells you something too.
Offshore Licences and Where You Can Complain
When an offshore casino does show a licence, it tells you where a dispute can go. None of these bodies can make a casino legal in Australia.
| Licensing body | Handles individual complaints? | Route for players |
|---|---|---|
| Curaçao Gaming Authority | No | The casino first, then one of 7 CGA-certified ADR bodies (list dated 31 August 2026). Curaçao’s new law took effect on 24 December 2024 |
| Anjouan | No | Via the site’s seal: the operator has 30 days, game-outcome disputes within 14 days, then operator-paid ADR |
| Tobique Gaming Commission | Through a named ADR body | Golden Crown, for example, names EGIS |
| Malta Gaming Authority | Not since 1 April 2019 | ADR bodies such as eCOGRA |
Licence checks also got harder in 2026: the Curaçao Gaming Authority confirmed unauthorised access to its licensing portal on 17 and 22 September, the portal was still offline on 2 October 2026, and the CGA says existing licences remain valid.
Worked Example: The Same A$100 Deposit at Each Casino
Headlines are useless for comparison, so here is what a single A$100 first deposit with the standard first-deposit match does at each casino. The average cost assumes pokies with a 96% return to player, so every A$100 bet loses A$4 on average over time.
| Casino | Bonus on A$100 (first-deposit match) | Wagering needed | Average cost of that wagering | Spins needed at the max bet |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| BDMBet (100%, 35x) | A$100 | A$3,500 | About A$140 | 467 at A$7.50 |
| Nine Casino (100%, 40x) | A$100 | A$4,000 | About A$160 | 534 at A$7.50 |
| OscarSpin (40x) | A$100 if the first match is 100% | A$4,000 | About A$160 | 400 at A$10 |
| Jet4Bet (40x on bonus and spin winnings) | Per the JET1 terms | 40x the bonus received | About 1.6x the bonus | Depends on your stake |
| Goldex (100% per its terms, 40x) | A$100 | A$4,000 | About A$160 | No max bet rule |
Two lessons stand out. First, at 40x, wagering a bonus costs on average about 1.6 times the bonus itself on a 96% pokie, so the bonus is a way to play longer, not free money. Second, the gap between 35x and 40x is worth about A$20 on every A$100 of bonus, which is why BDMBet comes out cheapest. If you prefer to keep it simple, decline the bonus: no wagering, no win cap and no max bet rule. Our welcome bonus guide and free spins guide go deeper on the maths.
Withdrawals: Speed Versus Caps
Processing time is how long the casino takes to approve a payout. The cap is how much it will pay you in a period. For most players speed matters; for anyone who lands a big win, the cap matters more.
| Casino | Processing | Weekly cap | A 15,000 EUR win would take |
|---|---|---|---|
| OscarSpin | Within 3 business days | Not stated in the terms we read; wins over 10,000 €/$ can be paid monthly in instalments | At least two monthly instalments |
| BDMBet | Within 72 hours | Per its terms and VIP level | Check with support before playing big |
| Nine Casino | Within 72 hours | Per its terms and VIP level | Check with support before playing big |
| Jet4Bet | Per method | 3,000 EUR/USD (5,000 VIP) | At least five weeks (three for VIPs) |
| Goldex | Per method | 3,000 EUR/USD (5,000 VIP) | At least five weeks (three for VIPs) |
All five require identity verification before the first withdrawal and require each deposit to be wagered at least once before it can be withdrawn. Upload your documents when you register, not when you win. Our fast payout guide and payment methods hub explain the options, including PayID. One payment note that still trips people up: POLi closed in Australia on 30 September 2023.
Games Australians Can and Cannot Get
Overseas reviews often list games that Australians never see. Studios decide which countries they supply, and several do not supply Australia.
- Restricted for Australia: Nine’s terms close Amatic games and NetEnt jackpots to Australians; other offshore casinos carry similar notices for NetEnt and Amatic.
- Live studios we saw: ICONIC21 and LuckyStreak at all or most of the five; Pragmatic Play Live at Nine; Live Vegas, Creedroomz, Imaginelive, Plati+ and Winfinity at Jet4Bet and Goldex.
- Not seen: Evolution, the largest live studio worldwide, did not appear in any of the Australian lobby sections we viewed.
Our live casino guide and real money pokies guide cover the games in more depth.
Brands We No Longer Recommend
We have reviewed more than 180 casinos for Australian readers over the years. When we rechecked the most-read reviews on 6 to 8 October 2026, most failed our first three checks. The full list sits in our Australian review directory; here is the summary.
| Status | Examples | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Domains on ACMA’s blocked list | BitStarz, 7Bit, King Billy, Neospin, RocketPlay, Spin Samurai, SkyCrown, Lucky Dreams, Golden Crown | Operating in breach of the IGA; access can vanish; not recommended |
| Closed to Australia | Fridayroll, Vincispin | Show a “can’t access this site in your country” page to Australians |
| Closed altogether | Magic Win; AllStar (its site now says it has permanently ceased operations) | Nothing to join; former players should contact support about balances |
| Could not verify from Australia | WishWin, Flappy, Justbit, CasinoLab, Fairspin | Left out until we can read their terms from an Australian connection |
| Open, but not listed | SlotLords (terms would not load), OnlyWin (markets itself as “VPN friendly”) | Failed a terms or safety check |
Why do so many reviewed brands end up on the list? Because blocking is ACMA’s main enforcement tool against operators based overseas, and brands that keep serving Australians after a block tend to move to mirror domains with a number added to the name. Golden Crown has eight domains on the list and Lucky Dreams eight, almost all of them numbered copies of the main address. A casino that keeps moving house to stay reachable is telling you it plans to keep breaking the IGA, and that your access to your balance depends on the next mirror working.
Some blocked brands have changed hands too. Golden Crown, which older reviews describe as a Curaçao casino, now names Metlait SRL of Costa Rica and a Tobique Gaming Commission licence in its terms, and asks visitors to confirm they are outside Australia. Our Golden Crown status review and Lucky Dreams status review explain what happened and what to do if you hold an account.
What We Corrected in This Update
Being straight about our own mistakes is part of reviewing honestly. The previous version of this page listed Flappy, RocketPlay, WishWin, OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Bitkingz and BDMBet with star ratings between 4.2 and 4.8. Here is what changed when we rechecked in October 2026:
- RocketPlay and Bitkingz have domains on ACMA’s blocked list, so they are out. Bitkingz was already shown as “restricted” on the old page.
- Flappy and WishWin could not be loaded or read from an Australian connection, so we could not confirm their terms and have left them out until we can.
- OscarSpin, Nine and BDMBet stay, with corrected offers: the old cards showed “AU$4000 + 150FS” for both Nine and BDMBet, while Nine now shows up to $5,000 plus 150 spins and three bonus rounds.
- Licence claims such as “licensed under Curaçao jurisdiction, ensuring regulated operation” are gone. None of the casinos we list shows a licence number on its Australian site, and an offshore licence does not mean regulated for Australians.
- Jet4Bet and Goldex are new additions, both checked from an Australian connection and absent from ACMA’s list on 8 October 2026.
We recheck the listed casinos whenever an offer changes and run a full ACMA list check before each update. If a listed casino turns up on the blocked list, it comes off this page and its review gets a status notice at the top.
How to Read Any Casino Review, Including Ours
Casino reviews range from careful to pure advertising. These questions separate them:
- Does it date its checks? Offers change monthly. A review without a date is a guess.
- Does it mention ACMA? A review for Australians that never checks the blocked list is not written for Australians.
- Does it quote wagering, max bet and win caps? If it only quotes the headline, it is selling the headline.
- Does it name withdrawal caps? “Fast payouts” means little without the weekly limit.
- Does it claim a licence it cannot show? If the casino’s own site shows no licence number, a review that names one should say where it found it.
- Does it describe tests that could not have happened? Be sceptical of reviews describing deposits and withdrawals at dozens of casinos in a week.
- Does it say who a casino does not suit? Every casino has players it is wrong for.
Player reviews on public sites are worth reading for patterns, such as many recent complaints about the same withdrawal problem, but single stories in either direction prove little.
Which Casino Suits You?
| If you want | Look at | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A small first deposit | OscarSpin | A$20 welcome minimum |
| A bonus you can realistically finish | BDMBet | 35x wagering |
| Pragmatic Play Live tables | Nine Casino | Only one of the five where we saw them |
| Terms in Australian dollars | Jet4Bet | AUD bonus terms |
| No max bet rule on a welcome bonus | Goldex | Confirm the AU amounts first |
| Legal, regulated gambling | Licensed sports and racing wagering, or land-based venues | Online casinos cannot be licensed in Australia |
A final word on choosing. The best casino for you is usually the one whose rules you understand fully before you deposit, not the one with the biggest number on the banner. If two casinos look similar, pick the lower wagering, the higher withdrawal cap and the clearer terms, and consider skipping the bonus altogether.
Responsible Gambling
Offshore casinos are outside BetStop, so set your own limits: deposit and loss limits in the casino account on day one, your bank’s gambling block, and the casino’s self-exclusion if you need a break. Never chase losses and never gamble on credit. Gambling Help Online is free and confidential, 24 hours a day, on 1800 858 858 or at gamblinghelponline.org.au. Our responsible gaming page lists more services, and the safe casinos guide sets out the checks we use in more detail.
FAQ
Which online casinos accept Australian players in 2026?
Many offshore casinos accept Australians, but none is licensed in Australia. Of the brands we review, five passed our October 2026 checks (not on ACMA’s list, Australia not restricted, terms readable): OscarSpin, BDMBet, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex.
Are online casino reviews for Australians reliable?
Only if they are dated, check ACMA’s blocked list and quote the real terms: wagering, max bet, win caps and withdrawal limits. Treat reviews that only repeat headline bonuses as advertising.
Is it legal to play at offshore casinos in Australia?
Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 the offence is the operator’s, for offering online casino games to Australians, not the player’s. You still have no Australian protection if something goes wrong.
Why do you list so few casinos?
Because most brands we have reviewed have domains on ACMA’s blocked list, have closed, or block Australia. We only list casinos that pass all three of our first checks.
Which casino has the lowest wagering for Australians?
BDMBet, at 35x the bonus by default in October 2026. The other four use 40x.
Do you rate casinos on payout speed?
We report the processing times and withdrawal caps each casino publishes. OscarSpin processes within three business days, BDMBet and Nine within 72 hours, and Jet4Bet and Goldex cap withdrawals at 3,000 EUR/USD a week.
What should I do if a casino I joined is now blocked?
Stop depositing, withdraw your balance in writing, keep records and close the account. Do not use a VPN to get around the block, because most offshore terms allow winnings to be voided for VPN use.
Where can I get help with gambling problems?
Gambling Help Online offers free, confidential support 24 hours a day on 1800 858 858 or at gamblinghelponline.org.au.
