Yes, Casino Rocket is blocked in Australia. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) named Casino Rocket in its media release of 13 July 2022, after investigations found it to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and asked Australian internet providers to block it. The casino has not gone away: on 16 October 2026 its Australian site still loaded with AUD prices, and its terms still do not list Australia as a restricted country. This page sets out what ACMA did, why the site still opens, what its terms mean if you already have an account, and which casinos we review that accept Australians and are not blocked.

Houston, we have a problem, Bros. Our old Casino Rocket review sold you a 5 BTC welcome bonus and a “trusted” Curaçao licence. When we rechecked the brand for this refresh, ACMA’s own release settled the main question, and the casino’s own terms told a different licence story. We have removed our links to Casino Rocket and rebuilt this page as a status review, using ACMA’s releases and domain list and Casino Rocket’s own pages read through an Australian connection on 16 October 2026.

The casinos above accepted Australians and showed an Australian lobby when we checked, and none was on ACMA’s blocked list or named in its blocking releases on 16 October 2026. They are offshore sites with no Australian licence, and the scores are Casino Bros editorial ratings. What ACMA Did, and When

Online casinos cannot be licensed in Australia. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA), offering online casino games, including online pokies, to people in Australia is an offence for the operator, and advertising those services is prohibited too. ACMA investigates offshore sites and, when it finds a breach, asks Australian internet service providers (ISPs) to block them. It made its first blocking request in November 2019.

On 13 July 2022 ACMA published a release headed “ACMA blocks more illegal offshore gambling websites”. It said ACMA had requested that Australian ISPs block more illegal offshore gambling websites, listed the sites blocked that day and stated that its investigations had found them to be operating in breach of the IGA. Casino Rocket was on the list, alongside brands including Pokie Island, Rich Palms, Lucky Tiger Casino, Megaslot, Bitkingz, Parimatchwin, Montecryptos, Cabarino and Jackpot Jill. At that point ACMA counted 555 illegal gambling websites blocked since its first request. By its release of 24 September 2026 the total had reached 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate websites.

The release did not say which Casino Rocket domains were blocked that day. ACMA publishes those separately, in its list of blocked gambling websites, and that list grows as operators open new addresses.

The Casino Rocket domains on ACMA’s list

When we pulled ACMA’s published list on 16 October 2026, it held 15 domains for the brand:

Type Domains on ACMA’s list (16 Oct 2026)
Numbered mirrors casinorocket1.com, casinorocket2.com, casinorocket4.com, casinorocket5.com, casinorocket8.com, casinorocket9.com, casinorocket11.com, casinorocket13.com, casinorocket21.com, casinorocket32.com, casinorocket37.com, casinorocket41.com, casinorocket76.com, casinorocket89.com
Other vipcasinorocket.com

Two addresses were missing from that list. The first is casinorocket.com, the main domain that Google shows for the brand. The second is casinorocket36.com, which Casino Rocket’s own terms and conditions name as “the website” (terms showing an effective date of 10.04.2026). Both were serving the casino on 16 October 2026. A domain search alone would tell you Casino Rocket is clear; ACMA’s brand-level release says otherwise. That is why we check both before listing any casino, the same lesson we learned with SlotsGem.

Why Casino Rocket still opens from Australia

Blocking happens at the ISP level, against specific domains. Offshore casinos rotate between numbered mirrors, so a block on casinorocket8.com does nothing to casinorocket.com until ACMA adds it and ISPs update their filters. Whether the site opens for you also depends on your provider. A casino that loads is not one that is permitted to serve you, and nothing about a working mirror changes the risks below.

Do not use a VPN to get around a block. Casino Rocket’s own terms (section 3.2) say that using VPNs to bypass geographic restrictions “is strictly prohibited and may lead to confiscation of winnings”. In other words, the workaround hands the casino a contractual reason to keep your money.

Who Runs Casino Rocket Today

Casino Rocket’s terms, read through an Australian connection on 16 October 2026, say the site is owned and operated by Metlait SRL, a company registered in Costa Rica with registration number 3-102-911867 and an address in Cartago. They say the company operates under e-gaming licence 0000064 issued by the Tobique Gaming Commission, and the same wording appears in the site footer.

Our old review described “a trusted online casino owned by a reputable company, holding a Curacao gambling license”. That claim does not match what Casino Rocket’s own pages show today, so we have removed it. Metlait SRL is also the operator named in the terms of SkyCrown, another casino ACMA has blocked, under the same Tobique licence number.

Whatever the licence, it does not cover Australia. No foreign licence allows an operator to offer online casino games to people in Australia, because the IGA prohibits the service itself. And a licence held offshore gives an Australian player no local body to complain to.

What Casino Rocket Shows Australians Today

The Australian version of the site (en-AU) loaded with AUD amounts and Australian-themed copy. Its homepage text gives “150% up to AU$1,500 + 150 Free Spins on your first deposit” as an example offer and says amounts and terms vary by region and time. Its bonus terms set a standard first-deposit bonus of up to A$500 plus 50 free spins and a second-deposit bonus of up to A$1,000 plus 100 free spins, each with a A$30 minimum deposit, a maximum bet of A$7.50 while wagering, x45 wagering on free-spin winnings and a A$75 cap on welcome free-spin withdrawals. Players who deposit with Skrill or Neteller cannot claim the welcome bonuses.

We set those figures out so you can check them against anything you are offered, not as a reason to sign up. The old review’s “5 BTC” package does not appear on the pages we read.

Restricted countries and game limits

Section 2.4 of the terms lists the countries whose residents may not play for real money. It includes the United Kingdom, the United States, the Netherlands, Ontario and New Brunswick in Canada, and many others, but not Australia. Players from Sweden are excluded from bonuses. The same terms say NetEnt games are not available in Australia and Amatic games are restricted in Australia, which shows the operator knows exactly where its Australian players are.

Already Have a Casino Rocket Account? What to Do

If you joined before you knew about the block, the aim is to get your money out cleanly and stop there. These are the rules in Casino Rocket’s own terms that will shape that process:

Rule What the terms say (16 Oct 2026)
Minimum withdrawal A$30 (EUR 20 or equivalent)
Daily cap A$1,500
Weekly cap (rolling 7 days) A$7,500
Monthly cap A$22,500, resetting on the 1st
Processing time “Within 72 hours of approval”; actual timing depends on method and verification
No-deposit bonus winnings Capped at A$75
VPN use Prohibited; may lead to confiscated winnings
  1. Stop depositing. Cancel any pending deposit and turn off any saved payment method.
  2. Finish verification first. Upload ID and proof of address before you request a payout, so the request is not left pending.
  3. Withdraw to the method you used to deposit, where possible. If you hold an active bonus, check whether withdrawing forfeits it before you press the button.
  4. Keep records. Screenshot your balance, the withdrawal request and any chat with support, with dates.
  5. Do not reopen through a mirror. Stick to the address you registered on. Look-alike sites are a common route for phishing, and a new account can break the casino’s one-account rule.
  6. Close or self-exclude once your money is out, through the casino’s responsible gaming settings or support.

If a withdrawal is refused, your options are limited to the casino’s support team and its terms. No Australian regulator or ombudsman handles complaints about offshore casinos.

The Risks of Playing at a Blocked Casino

  • No Australian protection. ACMA’s releases warn that even a service that looks legitimate is unlikely to have important customer protections, so Australians who use illegal gambling services risk losing their money.
  • BetStop does not apply. The National Self-Exclusion Register, live since 21 August 2023, covers licensed Australian wagering providers only. Registering there will not stop you opening a Casino Rocket account.
  • Changing addresses. When a casino moves between mirrors, it is harder to tell the real site from a copy built to harvest logins and card details.
  • Contract terms favour the operator. Withdrawal caps, bonus rules and the VPN clause all give the casino grounds to delay or reduce a payout.
  • Payment friction. Many Australian banks decline gambling transactions with offshore merchants, and POLi, once a common option, closed in Australia on 30 September 2023.

Safer Alternatives That Accept Australians

There is no such thing as a safe offshore casino in the legal sense, because none can be licensed to serve you. What we can do is stick to sites that are not on ACMA’s list or named in its releases, that accept Australians openly, and whose terms we have read. On 16 October 2026 that meant the four casinos in the list at the top of this page:

  • Jet4Bet: a four-deposit welcome package with codes JET1 to JET4 on its Australian promotions page, and a weekly withdrawal cap of 3,000 EUR/USD.
  • Goldex: the same platform as Jet4Bet, with codes GOLDEX1 to GOLDEX4 and no maximum-bet rule on welcome bonuses.
  • Nine Casino: up to $5,000 plus 150 spins and three bonus rounds, with weekly cashback advertised on its homepage.
  • OscarSpin: up to $2,500 plus 225 spins and one bonus round, a A$20 minimum per welcome deposit and 15% weekly cashback.

Read each review before you deposit, especially the withdrawal limits, and compare offers on our welcome bonus page. If payout speed is what drew you to Casino Rocket, our fast payout casinos guide lists processing times for the sites we track. The full directory is on our Australian reviews hub.

How to Check Any Casino Yourself

  1. Search ACMA’s blocked list at acma.gov.au for the brand name and its main domain.
  2. Search ACMA’s news releases for the brand name too. Releases name brands; the list holds domains, and the two do not always match, as Casino Rocket shows.
  3. Read the casino’s own terms: the operating company, licence number and restricted-country list.
  4. Treat a “mirror” link with suspicion, especially one sent by email, SMS or social media.
  5. Set limits before you play, and know where help is: our responsible gaming page lists free tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Casino Rocket blocked in Australia?

Yes. ACMA named Casino Rocket in its media release of 13 July 2022, after investigations found it was operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and asked Australian internet providers to block it. On 16 October 2026 ACMA’s published list still held 15 Casino Rocket domains, from casinorocket1.com to vipcasinorocket.com.

Why does Casino Rocket still open for me?

Blocks are applied by internet providers to specific domains, and the casino runs on many addresses. casinorocket.com itself was not on ACMA’s list when we checked on 16 October 2026, and the casino’s terms name yet another address, casinorocket36.com. A site that loads is not a site that is allowed to serve Australians.

Does Casino Rocket accept Australian players?

Its site still shows an Australian version with AUD prices, and Australia is not on the restricted-country list in its terms (16 October 2026). We still do not recommend it, because ACMA has found it to be operating illegally in Australia.

Who owns Casino Rocket and is it licensed?

Its terms say it is owned and operated by Metlait SRL, a Costa Rican company (registration 3-102-911867), under e-gaming licence 0000064 from the Tobique Gaming Commission. Our old review called it a Curaçao casino; that is no longer what its own pages say. It holds no Australian licence, because Australia does not license online casinos.

Is it illegal for me to play at Casino Rocket?

The Interactive Gambling Act makes offering online casino games to people in Australia an offence for the operator, not the player. That does not make it safe: you have no Australian regulator to complain to, BetStop does not cover it, and its own terms let it confiscate winnings if you use a VPN to get around restrictions.

How do I withdraw my balance from Casino Rocket?

Complete identity checks first, then request a withdrawal to a method you deposited with. Its terms set a A$30 minimum and caps of A$1,500 a day, A$7,500 a week and A$22,500 a month, and say requests are processed within 72 hours of approval. Do not open a new account on a mirror domain to do it.

What are safer alternatives to Casino Rocket for Australians?

No offshore casino is safe in the way a licensed one is. If you still want to play, the casinos in our list above accepted Australians and were not on ACMA’s domain list or named in its blocking releases on 16 October 2026: Jet4Bet, Goldex, Nine Casino and OscarSpin.
