GunsBet Casino Review: Blocked by ACMA (Status Update)

We no longer recommend GunsBet to Australian players, because ACMA has blocked it. The regulator’s media release of 18 February 2021 named GunsBet among offshore casinos it had found breaching the Interactive Gambling Act, and four GunsBet addresses are on ACMA’s published blocked list (gunsbet.co, gunsbet.com, gunsbetplay1.com and gunsbetplay2.com, checked 16 October 2026). Below you’ll find the dated status, what to do with any money still in an account, and the casinos we have rechecked as alternatives.

What Happened to GunsBet in Australia

Here is the short version of the law. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 bans offering online casino games and online pokies to Australians, and Australia issues no licences for them, so every online casino that takes Australian players is offshore and outside the Act. ACMA, the regulator, investigates those sites and asks local internet providers to block the ones it finds in breach. As of 24 September 2026 it had blocked 1,822 since November 2019.

GunsBet was part of the batch ACMA announced on 18 February 2021. The same release also covered 7Bit Casino, BitStarz, GetSlots, Golden Star Casino, iLucki, Joo Casino, King Billy and Syndicate Casino, which we used to review as well. The list now holds 4 addresses for the brand. That pattern usually means the casino keeps switching to fresh mirror domains as the old ones are blocked, and ACMA keeps adding the mirrors as it finds them. The block is not new: it dates back to February 2021, and our review should have caught up with it long before now.

A Site That Opens Is Not a Site That Is Allowed

Blocking is carried out by internet providers, not by the casino, so it does not catch every connection. If you see ACMA’s “website blocked” page, the domain is blocked. If you do not, your provider may not have applied the block yet, or you may have reached a mirror that is not on the list. Neither makes the casino legal to offer its games in Australia.

Using a VPN or picking another country at sign-up is a bad idea. Most offshore terms say a false location voids winnings, and you would be giving the casino a ready-made reason to refuse a payout.

Still Holding a Balance at GunsBet?

If you signed up before the block and still have money there, focus on getting it out cleanly and on keeping records.

1. Stop depositing. Any new deposit adds to the amount at risk, so switch off saved cards and auto top-ups too.
2. Take screenshots of your balance, pending withdrawals, bonus status and transaction history, with dates.
3. Deal with any active bonus. Bonus money usually locks your balance until wagering is complete. If you only want your cash, ask support in writing to cancel the bonus first.
4. Get verification done early. Offshore casinos hold payouts until ID, address and payment checks clear, so upload clear copies once and keep a record of when you sent them.
5. Mind the withdrawal caps. Check the daily, weekly and monthly limits in the cashier or terms before you request a large amount, because a big balance may come out in instalments.
6. Put the request in writing. Use live chat or email rather than phone, and save the transcripts.
7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Tobique Gaming Commission, licence No. 0000002; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left.
