SkyCrown Casino is blocked in Australia. ACMA, the Australian Communications and Media Authority, named “Sky Crown” in its release of 21 September 2022 as one of the offshore gambling services its investigations found to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and asked Australian internet providers to block it. As of 16 October 2026, skycrown.com and 11 numbered SkyCrown mirrors sit on ACMA’s published blocked list, yet the casino still served an Australian-dollar site when we loaded it from Australia. Below: the ACMA timeline, who runs SkyCrown now, what its terms say if you already have money there, and the casinos we review that take Australians and are not blocked.

Crown slipped, Bros. The old version of this page gave SkyCrown a 4.8 rating, a “play now” button and a Hollycorn N.V. Curaçao licence. None of that survives a look at ACMA’s records and the casino’s current terms, so we have pulled the rating and our links and turned the page into a straight status report, sourced from ACMA and from SkyCrown’s own pages read through an Australian connection on 16 October 2026.

Those four casinos accepted Australians when we checked, and none was on ACMA’s blocked list or named in an ACMA blocking release on 16 October 2026. All are offshore and unlicensed in Australia; ratings are Casino Bros editorial scores. Gambling Help Online is on 1800 858 858, free and confidential, around the clock.

The ACMA Timeline

Australia does not license online casinos. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA), it is an offence for an operator to provide online casino games, pokies included, to people in Australia, and advertising them is banned. Since November 2019 ACMA has used website blocking as one of its enforcement tools, asking ISPs to block sites its investigations find in breach.

  • May 2022. ACMA began an investigation under section 21 of the IGA into whether the Sky Crown and Blue Leo services, then available at www.skycrown.com and www.blueleo.com, were providing prohibited interactive gambling services.
  • 18 August 2022. ACMA issued a formal warning under section 64A of the IGA to Hollycorn N.V., of Curaçao, finding that as the provider of Sky Crown and Blue Leo it had contravened subsection 15(2A) by providing prohibited interactive gambling services to customers physically present in Australia.
  • 21 September 2022. ACMA’s release “ACMA blocks more illegal offshore gambling websites” said it had requested that ISPs block more illegal offshore gambling websites and named the sites, among them Spin Oasis, Fab Spins, RB Carnival, The GoGo Room, Velvet Spin, Zenith Slots, Slots of Wins, Latinbet24, Hell Spin, Sky Crown, Blue Leo, Wolf Winner, Bizzo Casino, Wabo88 and Ozbet88. ACMA said it investigated and found these services operating in breach of the IGA. Its running total stood at 614 illegal gambling and affiliate websites blocked since November 2019.
  • After 2022. ACMA’s published list kept growing as SkyCrown opened new numbered addresses. On 16 October 2026 it held 12 SkyCrown domains, from skycrown.com to skycrown13.com.
  • 24 September 2026. ACMA’s latest release before our check put the total at 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate websites blocked since its first request.

Unlike some brands, where the main domain never made the list, SkyCrown’s own address is on it. If skycrown.com still opens for you, that is because your provider has not applied the block, or because you have reached it by another route, not because SkyCrown has been cleared.

Why the block does not stop the site

An ISP block is a filter on named domains. It does not shut the casino, freeze accounts or stop payments. SkyCrown’s numbered domains show how operators respond: each new address works until it is found and added. For the player, that turns “which link is real?” into a genuine security question, because look-alike casino sites are a common phishing route.

Getting around a block is also a breach of SkyCrown’s own rules. Section 3.2 of its terms says VPN use to bypass geographic restrictions is strictly prohibited “and may lead to confiscation of winnings”.

Who Runs SkyCrown, According to Its Own Terms

The terms and conditions on skycrown.com (version 1.0, effective 12 June 2025, read on 16 October 2026) state that the website is owned and operated by Metlait SRL, a company registered under the laws of Costa Rica with registration number 3-102-911867 and a registered address in Cartago, and that the company operates under licence number 0000064 issued by the Tobique Gaming Commission.

That is a change of operator. When ACMA acted in 2022, its formal warning identified Hollycorn N.V., of Curaçao, as the provider of Sky Crown, which matches the owner named in our old review. The casino’s terms no longer mention Hollycorn; they name Metlait SRL. A change of company does not undo ACMA’s finding against the brand, and skycrown.com remains on the blocked list. The same Metlait SRL details appear in the terms of Casino Rocket, which ACMA named in July 2022. No offshore licence permits a casino to serve Australians, and neither brand holds an Australian one.

What SkyCrown’s Site Shows Today

The site advertised a welcome pack of up to A$8,000 plus 400 free spins when we loaded it from Australia, split over four deposits on its promotions strip (the first shown as 120% up to EUR 500 plus 125 free spins). Its bonus terms set wagering at 40 times the bonus received, counted as deposit bonus plus free-spin winnings, with 14 days to complete it. The homepage also carried the casino’s own claims of a “10 min average cash out time” and “7,000+ licensed games”. Those are SkyCrown’s marketing figures; we have not tested them and do not repeat them as fact.

Restricted countries in section 2.4 of the terms include the UK, the US, the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and two Canadian provinces, but not Australia. The terms also note that NetEnt games are unavailable in Australia and Amatic games are restricted there, so the operator plainly plans for Australian accounts.

Money Still in a SkyCrown Account?

If you hold a balance from before you read this, the sensible plan is to withdraw it and close the account. SkyCrown’s terms set the limits you will be working within:

Term SkyCrown’s rule (read 16 Oct 2026)
Minimum withdrawal EUR 20 or the equivalent
Daily limit A$7,500
Weekly limit (rolling 7 days) A$15,000
Monthly limit A$45,000
Processing Aims to process within 72 hours of approval
Identity checks May ask for documents or a phone call; withdrawals stay pending until verification is complete
No-deposit bonus winnings Capped at A$75
Dormant accounts No login or play for 12 months: A$50 monthly fee may apply

A worked example shows why the caps matter. Take a A$20,000 balance: at most A$7,500 can go out in a day and A$15,000 in any rolling seven days, so the fastest the terms allow is A$15,000 over the first two days and the remaining A$5,000 once that seven-day window has passed, assuming every request is approved promptly. Request in stages, keep screenshots of each request and every support chat, and do not let the account fall dormant with money in it.

  1. Stop depositing and remove saved cards or wallets.
  2. Send verification documents before the withdrawal request.
  3. Withdraw to the method you deposited with, where the cashier allows it.
  4. Check whether an active bonus will be forfeited before withdrawing.
  5. Use only the address you signed up on; ignore “new link” messages.
  6. Once paid, close the account or self-exclude through support.

What You Give Up at a Blocked Offshore Casino

ACMA’s releases make the point bluntly: even if a service looks legitimate, it is unlikely to have important customer protections, and Australians who use illegal gambling services risk losing their money. In practical terms:

  • There is no Australian regulator or ombudsman to take a complaint about a refused withdrawal.
  • BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register (live since 21 August 2023), only covers licensed Australian wagering providers, so it cannot block a SkyCrown account.
  • Caps, bonus terms and the VPN clause all sit in the operator’s favour.
  • Many Australian banks decline gambling payments to offshore merchants, which pushes players to crypto or e-wallets that are harder to reverse.

Our safer casinos guide explains what we look for before we list any offshore site, and our payment methods guide covers which deposit options can actually be withdrawn to.

Casinos We List Instead

We only list casinos that accept Australians, that we have checked against both ACMA’s domain list and its blocking releases, and whose terms we have read. On 16 October 2026 that was:

Casino Welcome offer (AU site, Oct 2026) Note
Jet4Bet Up to A$22,500 + 200 free spins over four deposits, codes JET1 to JET4 40x wagering; weekly cap 3,000 EUR/USD
Goldex 325% up to $57,000 + 500 free spins, codes GOLDEX1 to GOLDEX4 40x wagering; confirm AU amounts with support
Nine Casino Up to $5,000 + 150 spins + 3 bonus rounds 40x default wagering; A$22.50 minimum
OscarSpin Up to $2,500 + 225 spins + 1 bonus round 40x default wagering; A$20 minimum

Big headline numbers are not the same as value. Our welcome bonus guide works through the wagering maths, and our Australian reviews hub lists every brand we cover, including the ones we have marked as blocked.

Checking a Casino Against ACMA in Two Minutes

  1. Open ACMA’s blocked gambling websites page and search the brand and its main domain.
  2. Search ACMA’s news for the brand name, because releases name brands while the list names domains.
  3. Read the casino’s terms for the operating company, licence and restricted countries.
  4. Be wary of numbered domains and links sent by message.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is SkyCrown Casino blocked in Australia?

Yes. ACMA listed “Sky Crown” in its release of 21 September 2022 among offshore gambling sites found to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and asked Australian internet providers to block it. skycrown.com and 11 numbered SkyCrown domains were on ACMA’s published list on 16 October 2026.

Is SkyCrown legit?

It is a functioning offshore casino, but it is not legal for it to offer online casino games to Australians, which is why ACMA blocked it. Its terms name Metlait SRL of Costa Rica and a Tobique Gaming Commission licence (0000064); it holds no Australian licence and no Australian body will handle a complaint about it.

Who owns SkyCrown now?

SkyCrown’s terms (version 1.0, effective 12 June 2025) say skycrown.com is owned and operated by Metlait SRL, registration 3-102-911867. In 2022 ACMA’s formal warning named Hollycorn N.V. of Curaçao as the provider of Sky Crown; the current terms no longer mention Hollycorn.

Does SkyCrown still accept Australians?

Its site loaded from Australia on 16 October 2026 with amounts in A$, and Australia is not on its restricted-country list. We do not recommend it, because ACMA has found it to be operating illegally in Australia.

Can I use a VPN to play at SkyCrown?

No. Section 3.2 of SkyCrown’s terms prohibits using a VPN to bypass geographic restrictions and says it may lead to confiscation of winnings.

What are SkyCrown’s withdrawal limits?

Its terms set a minimum of EUR 20 or the equivalent and caps of A$7,500 a day, A$15,000 a week and A$45,000 a month, with requests processed within 72 hours of approval. Accounts with no login or play for 12 months can be charged a A$50 monthly dormancy fee.

What should I play instead of SkyCrown?

If you still want an offshore casino, the four in our list (Jet4Bet, Goldex, Nine Casino and OscarSpin) accepted Australians and were not on ACMA’s list or named in its releases on 16 October 2026. None is licensed in Australia, so set limits and keep balances small.
