Spin Samurai Casino Review: Blocked by ACMA (Status Update)

Spin Samurai is blocked in Australia, and has been since late 2021. The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) named Spin Samurai in its media release of 14 December 2021, listing it among illegal offshore gambling and affiliate websites that its investigations found to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, and asked Australian internet providers to block it. Nearly five years later the casino still runs an Australian site: on 16 October 2026 its en-AU homepage loaded from Australia advertising AU$5,000 plus 150 free spins, while 15 Spin Samurai domains sat on ACMA’s blocked list. This page explains the block, what the site does and does not tell you, and what to do instead.

We could not stand behind either claim once we put ACMA’s records next to the casino’s own pages, so the page is now a plain status review. What ACMA Did in December 2021

The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 (IGA) bans the provision of online casino games, including online pokies, to people in Australia. The offence sits with the operator. ACMA enforces the IGA and, since November 2019, has asked Australian internet service providers to block sites it finds in breach.

The block followed a formal finding. On 12 November 2021 ACMA issued a formal warning under section 64A of the IGA to Dama N.V., of Curaçao, stating it was satisfied that Dama N.V. had contravened subsections 15(2A) and 15AA(3) of the Act. The warning listed the services as Casino4U, Spin Samurai, Slot Vibe, Axe Casino, Lucky Dreams and Arlekin Casino, available at addresses including spinsamurai1.com, and found that they had an Australian customer link and that Dama N.V. was providing them.

On 14 December 2021 ACMA announced that it had requested ISPs block more illegal offshore gambling and affiliate-marketing websites. The release listed casinos and affiliate sites together. The casinos included Golden Lady Casino, Casino4u, Spin Samurai, Axe Casino, Lucky Dreams, Comet Room and Paradiso Room; the affiliate sites included No Deposit Friend and Casino Shortlist Australia. ACMA said its investigations found them to be operating in breach of the IGA, and that 375 illegal gambling websites had been blocked since its first request in November 2019. It also said more than 150 illegal services had pulled out of the Australian market since it began enforcing the offshore gambling rules in 2017. Spin Samurai was not one of them.

The count has kept climbing. ACMA’s release of 24 September 2026 put the total at 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate websites blocked.

Fifteen domains and counting

ACMA publishes blocked sites as a list of domains. For this brand, the list we pulled on 16 October 2026 contained:

• spinsamurai.com, the main address
• Numbered mirrors: spinsamurai1.com, spinsamurai2.com, spinsamurai4.com, spinsamurai5.com, spinsamurai6.com, spinsamurai11.com, spinsamurai15.com, spinsamurai25.com, spinsamurai30.com, spinsamurai65.com and spinsamurai77.com
• Variants: playspinsamurai.com, vipspinsamurai.com and winspinsamurai.com

The Australian homepage we loaded still pulled its banner images from spinsamurai37.com, which was not on the list. That is how a blocked casino keeps working: each address stays live until it is found, added and filtered by each ISP. Whether a given address opens for you depends on your provider and the route you take.

Using a VPN or a false location to reach it is a bad idea on two counts. It does nothing to make the service legal for an Australian, and offshore casinos commonly treat it as a breach of their terms, which can be used to void winnings. Two other blocked brands’ terms, Casino Rocket and SkyCrown, say exactly that.

Licence and Operator: What the Site Does Not Say

Spin Samurai’s Australian homepage lists among its selling points that it is “fully licensed, secure, and 18+ only”. We looked for the evidence. The homepage, the en-AU terms page and the About page we loaded through an Australian connection on 16 October 2026 did not show an operating company, a registered address or a licence number. The only company named in its bonus terms is Dama N.V., in a line saying payments made with Paysafe are processed through it. That is a payment arrangement, not a gaming licence for Australia.

ACMA’s own records fill part of the gap: its 2021 formal warning named Dama N.V. as the provider of Spin Samurai, the same company that appears in the bonus terms today. We cannot confirm from the casino’s pages whether Dama N.V. still operates it.

A claimed licence would not change the Australian position in any case. No foreign licence authorises an operator to offer online casino games to people in Australia, and none gives an Australian player a local complaints route. We have removed the old review’s licence wording.

What Spin Samurai Advertises to Australians

We record the offer as it appeared so readers can check any promotion they receive, not as a reason to join. Its bonus terms describe a three-step welcome package:

The 150 free spins are credited on BGaming’s Elvis Frog TRUEWAYS and Aztec Magic Deluxe, and winnings from welcome free spins are capped at A$75. The general bonus terms set a maximum bet of EUR 5 per spin while wagering, and welcome deposit bonuses are not available if you deposit with Skrill or Neteller.

Put the wagering into numbers. A A$1,000 first-deposit bonus at 40x means A$40,000 in bets before the bonus can be withdrawn. On pokies with a 96% return, that volume carries an expected loss of about A$1,600, more than the bonus itself. The headline A$5,000 looks very different once it is measured that way.

The homepage also lists Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, crypto and bank transfers, and promotes tournaments with “more than AU$1,500,000 in cash”. Those are the casino’s own claims.

If You Already Play at Spin Samurai

1. Stop new deposits and remove saved payment details.
2. Verify the account. Its bonus terms say the account must be fully verified before a withdrawal request, so upload documents first.
3. Check any active bonus. Withdrawing early can forfeit the rest of a welcome package, and spin winnings above the cap are removed.
4. Withdraw in stages to the method you used to deposit, and screenshot each request and reply.
5. Use only the address you registered on. Messages offering a “new working link” are a common phishing tactic.
6. Close or self-exclude once the balance is paid.

If a payout is refused, there is no Australian regulator to escalate to, and without a named operator or licence on the site, there is no obvious foreign one either.

Risks in Plain Terms

• No local safety net. ACMA warns that illegal services are unlikely to have important customer protections and that Australians who use them risk losing their money.
• No BetStop coverage. The National Self-Exclusion Register, live since 21 August 2023, applies to licensed Australian wagering providers only.
• Unclear accountability. No operator or licence was shown on the pages we loaded.
• Rotating addresses. Mirrors make it harder to spot a cloned phishing site.
