ZotaBet is blocked in Australia. ACMA, the federal regulator, named it on 19 March 2024 among the illegal offshore gambling sites it had asked Australian internet providers to block, and zotabet.com is on ACMA’s published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026). We no longer recommend ZotaBet to anyone in Australia. This review now covers what happened, what it means if you still have an account, and where to find casinos we review that do accept Australians.

No sugar-coating this one. Our old ZotaBet review called it “a legitimate offshore site”. That no longer holds for anyone in Australia, so we have removed the rating and our links and rewritten the page around what the regulator has published.

If you are looking for somewhere else to play, the casinos in the box above accepted Australians and were clear of ACMA’s list when we rechecked them in October 2026. They are offshore, so the usual cautions apply. Gambling Help Online is on 1800 858 858, 24/7, if you need to talk to someone.

What Happened to ZotaBet in Australia

Online casino games and online pokies cannot legally be offered to people in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes that an offence for the operator, not the player, and bans the advertising too. ACMA polices the Act, and when an investigation finds an offshore site in breach it asks Australian internet service providers to block it. By 24 September 2026 the regulator counted 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate sites blocked since it began in November 2019.

ZotaBet was part of the batch ACMA announced on 19 March 2024. Lucky7even and Mr Pacho were named in that release too, and their reviews carry the same status now. The block is not new: it dates back to March 2024, and our review should have caught up with it long before now.

Why the Site May Still Open for You

ACMA’s blocks are applied by each internet provider against specific addresses, and offshore casinos rotate between mirror domains, so a blocked brand can still open on some connections. That tells you nothing about whether it is allowed to serve you. It is not, and the risks below apply either way.

Using a VPN or picking another country at sign-up is a bad idea. Most offshore terms say a false location voids winnings, and you would be giving the casino a ready-made reason to refuse a payout.

Already Have a ZotaBet Account? What to Do

If you signed up before the block and still have money there, focus on getting it out cleanly and on keeping records.

  1. Stop topping up. Every new deposit adds to what you could lose if the account is frozen.
  2. Screenshot everything: balance, active bonuses, pending withdrawals and your transaction history, with the date showing.
  3. Check whether a bonus is running. Withdrawing during wagering normally forfeits the bonus and its winnings, and some casinos block the withdrawal altogether. Ask support in writing to remove it if you just want your cash.
  4. Complete verification once, properly. Expect to send photo ID, proof of address and proof of payment. Send clear copies, keep the originals and note the date.
  5. Mind the withdrawal caps. Check the daily, weekly and monthly limits in the cashier or terms before you request a large amount, because a big balance may come out in instalments.
  6. Request the withdrawal in writing through live chat or email, and save every transcript.
  7. Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Curaçao Gaming Control Board, 8048/JAZ2019-015; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.

If chasing a balance is affecting your sleep, money or relationships, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858. BetStop, the national self-exclusion register, covers licensed Australian wagering providers only, so ask ZotaBet support to close your account as well. What Our Old ZotaBet Review Said

Our earlier review made the following points. We list them so returning readers can see what has changed, not as a current description of ZotaBet, and we have not reverified them for this update.

  • Operator: Hollycorn N.V.
  • Licence: Curaçao Gaming Control Board, 8048/JAZ2019-015
  • Welcome offer: 100% up to A$10,000
  • Verdict: Called it “a legitimate offshore site”

It also warned that withdrawals over €30,000 were paid in monthly instalments. The licence point is the one that needs correcting. A licence from Curaçao Gaming Control Board lets a casino operate under that jurisdiction’s rules; it does not allow it to offer online casino games to people in Australia, and ACMA’s block applies whatever licence the casino holds.

How We Check Casinos for Australians Now

A casino now reaches our Australian list only if all of these hold on the day we check:

  1. None of its domains is on ACMA’s published blocked-websites list.
  2. The brand is not named in any of ACMA’s blocking releases.
  3. Its Australian lobby loads from an Australian connection and Australia is not on its restricted-country list.
  4. There is no “confirm you are outside Australia” declaration or similar trap in its pages.

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex passed those checks in October 2026. They are offshore with no Australian licence, so read the full reviews and terms first. Our safer casino guide covers the warning signs, and the Australian reviews hub shows the status of every brand we have rechecked.

ZotaBet FAQ

Has ACMA blocked ZotaBet?

Yes. ACMA named ZotaBet in its media release of 19 March 2024, and its domain is on the published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026).

Can Australians legally play at ZotaBet?

The IGA offence belongs to the operator, not the player. But you have no Australian regulator to help in a dispute, access can disappear at any time, and the casino’s own terms may let it void winnings if you are in a restricted location.

Can I still get my money out of ZotaBet?

Stop depositing, screenshot your balance, cancel any active bonus, complete verification and request the withdrawal in writing, keeping within the cashier limits. Save every support transcript.

Is ZotaBet licensed?

Our old review gave the licence as Curaçao Gaming Control Board, 8048/JAZ2019-015, with the operator named as Hollycorn N.V.. We have not rechecked that for this update, and no offshore licence makes online casino games legal to offer in Australia.

What are the alternatives to ZotaBet for Australians?

OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex accepted Australians and were not blocked or named by ACMA when we checked in October 2026. All are offshore with no Australian licence, so read their reviews and terms first.
