Looking for Evolution Gaming casinos in Australia? Evolution’s live casino is not available to Australian players in October 2026. Provider restriction tables published by offshore casinos list Australia among Evolution’s restricted territories, and none of the Australian lobbies we checked between 6 and 8 October 2026 carried a single Evolution table: no Lightning Roulette, no Crazy Time, no MONOPOLY Live. Australians who want live dealer games at offshore casinos get other studios instead, which this page compares in detail.

Look, the Bros love a spin of the Crazy Time wheel as much as anyone. But we would rather give it to you straight than send you to a “best Evolution casino” that voids your win the moment it sees your Aussie passport. So here is the full story: why Evolution blocks Australia, how its famous games actually work and what they pay, and which live studios and tables you can genuinely play from Australia today.

The five casinos above accept Australian players and passed our October 2026 checks. None of them offers Evolution tables to Australian accounts. They run live games from ICONIC21, LuckyStreak, Pragmatic Play Live, Winfinity, Imagine Live, Plati+ and other studios, set out table by table further down.

Why Evolution Is Not Available in Australia

Evolution describes its business as “built for regulated markets”. Its licences page lists approvals from regulators including the Malta Gaming Authority, the UK Gambling Commission, Sweden’s gambling authority, Spain’s DGOJ, the Danish Gambling Authority, several Canadian provinces and US states, plus a Curaçao licence. Australia is not on that list for a simple reason: Australia does not license online casino games at all. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, offering them to people in Australia is an offence for the operator.

Suppliers that hold dozens of licences cannot risk being seen to serve a market where the product is prohibited. Evolution therefore requires the casinos it supplies to block certain countries. The per-provider restriction table that Sol Casino publishes in its terms lists Evolution Gaming’s restricted territories as “Australia – AU”, followed by the USA, Latvia, South Africa, Sweden, several Canadian provinces and others. Roobet’s help centre publishes a similar regional restriction list for Evolution that also starts with Australia.

The same pattern runs through Evolution’s slot brands. NetEnt’s blacklisted territories, reproduced in the terms of Nine Casino and Jet4Bet, include Australia, and restriction tables list Australia for Red Tiger as well. Our NetEnt page covers that in detail.

What We Saw in Australian Lobbies

We loaded the live casino sections of Jet4Bet, Goldex, Nine Casino and OscarSpin from an Australian connection between 6 and 8 October 2026. None showed an Evolution, Ezugi or NetEnt Live table. BDMBet, which runs on the same platform as Nine and OscarSpin, showed ICONIC21 and LuckyStreak tables in our earlier review check. Lobbies change, but in more than 100 live tables across these sites, Evolution did not appear once.

Evolution’s Slot Brands and Australia

Evolution’s group also includes some of the best-known slot studios, and their Australian status varies:

Brand Known for Australian status in the sources we checked
NetEnt Starburst, Gonzo’s Quest, Mega Fortune Australia on NetEnt’s blacklisted territories (Nine and Jet4Bet terms)
Red Tiger Daily Drop jackpots, feature slots Australia listed as restricted in operator-published tables
Big Time Gaming The Megaways mechanic, Bonanza Grouped with Relax-distributed content whose restricted list names Australia
Nolimit City High-volatility slots such as Mental and San Quentin Australia restricted “only for new operators” in one operator-published table; not seen in the AU lobbies we checked
Ezugi Localised live tables Not seen in the AU lobbies we checked

The result is that an Australian player at an offshore casino sees almost nothing from the Evolution group, live or slots. Our software hub lists the studios that are open to you.

What Happens If You Play Evolution From Australia Anyway

A few Australian players use a VPN, or find a casino that still shows Evolution tables to Australian accounts. The risks are real and they land on you, not the casino.

  • Confiscated winnings. Jet4Bet’s terms say using a VPN to bypass a provider’s block is strictly prohibited and may lead to confiscation of winnings. Most offshore casinos carry a similar clause.
  • Identity checks. Before a withdrawal, casinos ask for ID and proof of address. An Australian address on a game the supplier blocks for Australia is an easy reason to void the win.
  • A casino that ignores supplier rules. If a site is willing to breach its contract with the largest live casino supplier in the world, think about how it will treat your withdrawal.

The simple rule: if an Evolution table opens for you in Australia, do not deposit to play it.

Evolution’s Famous Games, Explained

Even though Australians cannot play these games at the casinos we checked, many people search for them, and knowing how they work makes it easier to judge the alternatives. Return-to-player figures below are the ones most widely published for each game; Evolution can configure some games differently by market, so the info panel in the game is the final word.

Lightning Roulette

Launched in 2018, Lightning Roulette is European single-zero roulette with a twist. Before each spin, between one and five “lightning” numbers are struck and given multipliers of 50x to 500x. A straight-up bet on a lightning number that wins pays the multiplier; a straight-up bet on any other number pays 29 to 1 instead of the usual 35 to 1. Outside bets pay as normal. The published RTP is 97.30%, the same 2.70% house edge as standard European roulette, but with the return redistributed from frequent small straight-up wins towards rare big ones.

Crazy Time

Crazy Time, launched in 2020, is a 54-segment money wheel. Number segments 1, 2, 5 and 10 pay at those odds, and four bonus games (Coin Flip, Cash Hunt, Pachinko and the Crazy Time round itself) sit on the remaining segments. A top slot adds a random multiplier to one bet spot each round. RTP varies by bet spot, from about 94.41% to 96.08%, so where you put your chips matters more than in most games.

Crazy Time segment Segments on the wheel Chance per spin
1 21 38.9%
2 13 24.1%
5 7 13.0%
10 4 7.4%
Coin Flip 4 7.4%
Cash Hunt 2 3.7%
Pachinko 2 3.7%
Crazy Time 1 1.9%

The Crazy Time bonus lands on average once every 54 spins. At roughly 25 to 30 spins an hour, that is about one Crazy Time round every two hours, which is why chasing it can get expensive.

Dream Catcher

Evolution’s first game show, launched in 2017, is a simpler money wheel with 54 segments: 1 (23 segments), 2 (15), 5 (7), 10 (4), 20 (2), 40 (1) and two multiplier segments (2x and 7x) that multiply the next spin’s win. The RTP ranges from roughly 90.57% on the 40 spot to 96.58% on the 1 spot, a wide spread that shows how much bet selection matters in wheel games.

MONOPOLY Live and Deal or No Deal

Both took the game show idea further in 2019 with licensed brands. MONOPOLY Live mixes a money wheel with a 3D board-walk bonus hosted by Mr Monopoly; Deal or No Deal adds a qualification round and a banker’s offer you can accept or refuse. Both are heavy on entertainment and have lower RTPs on some bets than classic table games.

Blackjack, Baccarat and Poker

Away from the game shows, Evolution’s tables cover classic blackjack, Infinite and Speed Blackjack, Lightning Baccarat, Speed Baccarat, Casino Hold’em and other poker variants, plus craps and sic bo. Its First Person range offers RNG versions of the same games, with a button to switch to the hosted table where available.

How Live Dealer Games Work

Whichever studio runs the table, the technology behind a live casino game follows the same pattern, and knowing it helps you judge whether a table is worth your money.

  • Cameras and a studio floor. Several cameras film the dealer, the wheel or the cards. The stream you see is a mix of those angles with an overlay showing your bets and the timer.
  • Result capture. Cards are scanned and wheel results read by sensors or optical character recognition, then passed to the game software. That is how the result reaches your screen and your balance within seconds.
  • Real equipment, real randomness. In most live games the outcome comes from physical cards, a physical wheel or a ball, not from a random number generator. Multiplier features, such as the lightning numbers in Lightning Roulette, are usually drawn by an RNG and layered on top.
  • Bet timers. Each round opens a betting window, then closes it before the deal or spin. If your connection lags, your bet may miss the window and not be placed.
  • Shared tables. Hundreds of players can sit at one roulette or game show table, and blackjack variants such as Infinite Blackjack let unlimited players share one hand. Classic seven-seat blackjack tables fill up, which is why “bet behind” exists: you back a seated player’s hand without controlling it.

Are Live Casino Games Fair?

Physical randomness does not automatically mean fairness. What protects players at a regulated table is the studio’s licence and the testing that comes with it, plus a regulator who can act on complaints. Evolution’s licences page shows how far that goes for a big supplier. The smaller studios in Australian lobbies vary: some hold licences in Europe or elsewhere, some say little. The casino’s own licence, if it has one, is the other half of the picture, and none of the five casinos on this page shows a licence number on its Australian site.

Practical checks you can do yourself: watch several rounds before betting, compare the rules panel with the table’s name (a “European” roulette table should have a single zero), and keep a screenshot of any round you want to dispute. If a stream freezes mid-round, the casino’s rules usually void the round or settle it on the recorded result; read the malfunction clause in the game’s help panel before you play.

Roulette Variants at Australian-Facing Tables

Variant What changes House edge Where we saw it
European roulette 37 pockets, single zero 2.70% Plati+ Live Roulette European at Jet4Bet and Goldex; ICONIC21 Live Roulette
French roulette Single zero, with la partage on even-money bets 1.35% on even-money bets, 2.70% on others Live Roulette French (Plati+) at Goldex
Auto roulette No dealer, automated wheel, fast rounds 2.70% (single zero) LuckyStreak AutoRoulette 1 and 2 at OscarSpin; ICONIC21 Auto Roulette at Goldex
Speed roulette Shorter betting window, more spins an hour Same edge, higher cost per hour Pragmatic Play Live Speed Roulette at Nine
Multiplier roulette Random multipliers on some numbers, lower base straight-up payout Check the table’s RTP PowerUp Roulette at Nine; Bar Roulette 2000x and Big Bang Roulette at Jet4Bet

The trap with speed and auto tables is the hourly cost. The same 2.70% edge at 60 spins an hour instead of 40 costs 50% more per hour at the same stake. If you like fast tables, cut your stake to match.

How Multiplier Roulette Moves the Money Around

Lightning Roulette shows the trade-off clearly. A normal straight-up win pays 35 to 1. In Lightning Roulette it pays 29 to 1 unless your number is struck by lightning, when it pays 50x to 500x. The overall return stays close to standard roulette, but far more of it is concentrated in rare big hits. Players who bet mostly on red or black barely notice the difference; players who bet single numbers get a much swingier game. Other studios’ multiplier tables follow similar logic with their own numbers, so read each table’s paytable rather than assuming Evolution’s figures apply.

Baccarat Variants and Their Odds

Baccarat is the live game where small rule changes matter most. The figures below assume eight decks, the usual live set-up.

Bet House edge Comment
Banker, 5% commission 1.06% The standard best bet
Banker, no-commission table where Banker wins on 6 pay half 1.46% Simpler payouts, higher edge
Player 1.24% Pays even money
Tie paying 8:1 14.36% One of the worst bets in the casino
Player or Banker Pair paying 11:1 10.36% Side bet
Dragon 7 paying 40:1 (EZ Baccarat) 7.61% Side bet
Panda 8 paying 25:1 (EZ Baccarat) 10.19% Side bet

On eight decks, Banker wins about 45.86% of hands, Player 44.62% and Tie 9.52%. That is why the Banker bet carries a commission: without it, the bet would favour the player. Evolution’s Lightning Baccarat adds random card multipliers and charges a fee on every bet to pay for them. In Australian lobbies the baccarat on offer is ICONIC21’s Grand Bonus Baccarat at Goldex and Jet4Bet and Winfinity’s Tao Yuan tables at Jet4Bet. Our baccarat guide covers the drawing rules.

Blackjack at Live Tables: Rules That Change the Edge

Live blackjack tables in Australian lobbies come from ICONIC21, LuckyStreak, Winfinity, Imagine Live, Live Vegas and Creedroomz. Their rules differ table by table, and that matters more than the studio. Check these five things in the rules panel:

  1. Blackjack payout. 3:2 is standard; 6:5 adds about 1.39% to the house edge. Never play 6:5 if a 3:2 table is available.
  2. Dealer on soft 17. Standing on soft 17 is better for you; hitting adds about 0.2%.
  3. Number of decks. Most live tables use six or eight decks. Fewer decks help slightly.
  4. Doubling rules. Being able to double on any two cards and after splitting is worth having.
  5. Insurance. It is a side bet with a house edge of about 7.4% on six decks. Basic strategy says decline it.

With good rules and basic strategy, the house edge sits around 0.4% to 0.5%, the lowest of any standard live game. At A$10 a hand and about 60 hands an hour, that is roughly A$2.40 to A$3 an hour in expected cost. Learn the card values first on our blackjack card values page, then the full strategy in the blackjack guide.

Game Shows: What the Wheel Odds Tell You

Money wheels look generous because of their big multipliers, but the segment counts tell a different story. On Dream Catcher’s 54 segments, the 40 spot covers one segment, a 1.85% chance per spin, while the 1 spot covers 23 segments, a 42.6% chance. The bigger the payout, the rarer the hit and, in Dream Catcher’s case, the lower the RTP. The same principle applies to the Pragmatic Play Live wheels Australians can play at Nine: before you bet, open the help panel and look at how many segments each result has and the RTP of each bet spot.

Two habits keep game shows affordable. First, bet on the spots with the highest listed RTP rather than the most exciting ones. Second, decide in advance how many rounds you will play, because the big bonus rounds are designed to arrive just often enough to keep you waiting for the next one.

Sic Bo, Dragon Tiger and Other Asian Games

Asian-style live games fill a big share of the lobbies Australians see, and their odds vary more than their simple rules suggest.

Game Main bet House edge Where we saw it
Sic Bo Big or Small (total 11 to 17 or 4 to 10, triples lose) 2.78% ICONIC21 Sic Bo and Gravity Sic Bo at Goldex, Jet4Bet and Nine
Dragon Tiger Dragon or Tiger, half the stake lost on a tie 3.73% Winfinity Dragon Tiger at Jet4Bet
Teen Patti Player A or Player B Check the table’s paytable Bet on Teen Patti (ICONIC21) at Goldex and Jet4Bet

Sic Bo shows how quickly the edge climbs away from the simple bets. Big and Small sit at 2.78%, but single-number totals and specific triples pay big odds with house edges many times higher. Dragon Tiger looks like a coin flip, yet the tie rule takes half your stake about once every 13 hands, which is where its 3.73% comes from. Evolution’s Lightning versions of these games add multipliers and fees; the versions in Australian lobbies are mostly standard rules, which is no bad thing for your bankroll.

Poker-Style Live Games

Live poker in Australian lobbies is thin. Jet4Bet and Goldex both carried Texas Hold’em Multiplayer from Live Vegas, and Goldex’s poker section listed RNG versions of Caribbean Poker, Oasis Poker and Three Card Rummy from Betsoft and Nucleus Gaming. These are banked games against the house, not player-versus-player poker. Our poker guide explains the difference and the rules of each variant.

Crash Live and Hybrid Games

Hybrid games blur the line between live casino and instant games. ICONIC21’s Crash Live, which we saw at Goldex and Jet4Bet, puts a host on a crash-style multiplier game, and Bet on Teen Patti turns an Indian card game into a fast betting round. These titles move quickly and their RTPs are set by the studio, so check the help panel. For the maths behind crash games, see our crash games guide.

The Live Casino Studios Australians Can Play

With Evolution and Ezugi off the table, Australian lobbies lean on a group of smaller studios. Here is what each one offered when we checked on 6 to 8 October 2026.

Which Live Bets Give You the Best Odds?

Studio does not change the core maths of a classic game; the rules on the table do. Use this table to compare any live game you find, Evolution or otherwise.

Game and bet House edge Notes
Blackjack, 6 decks, dealer stands on soft 17, blackjack pays 3:2, basic strategy about 0.4% to 0.5% 6:5 blackjack adds about 1.39%; dealer hitting soft 17 adds about 0.2%
Baccarat, Banker bet (5% commission, 8 decks) 1.06% Best standard baccarat bet
Baccarat, Player bet 1.24% No commission
Baccarat, Tie at 8:1 14.36% Avoid
French roulette, even-money bets with la partage 1.35% Half the even-money stake back on zero
European roulette 2.70% Single zero
American roulette 5.26% Double zero; avoid when a single-zero wheel is available
Blackjack insurance about 7.4% Avoid with basic strategy

Money wheels and game shows sit well above these figures on many bets, often with house edges of 4% to 9%. They are entertainment products first. If your aim is to stretch a bankroll, a single-zero roulette table, a Banker bet in baccarat or a well-ruled blackjack table will do it far better. For strategy, see our guides to blackjack, roulette and baccarat.

What a Live Session Costs: A Worked Example

Expected cost per hour is bet size x rounds per hour x house edge. Round counts vary by table and how busy it is, so treat these as approximations.

  • European roulette, A$10 on red, about 40 spins an hour: A$10 x 40 x 2.70% = about A$10.80 an hour.
  • Baccarat, A$10 on Banker, about 60 hands an hour: A$10 x 60 x 1.06% = about A$6.36 an hour.
  • A money wheel bet with a 4% edge, A$10 a spin, about 25 spins an hour: A$10 x 25 x 4% = about A$10 an hour, with much bigger swings either way.

What You Actually Lose Without Evolution

It is worth being clear about the gap, because “Evolution or nothing” is not the real choice.

  • Variety at the top end. Evolution’s 2,000-plus tables include niche games (live craps, Lightning Dice, dozens of localised roulette tables) that smaller studios do not match. In Australian lobbies you get dozens of tables, not hundreds.
  • The big game shows. Crazy Time, MONOPOLY Live and Funky Time have no exact equivalents. Pragmatic Play Live’s wheels at Nine are the closest.
  • Not much on the core maths. A single-zero roulette wheel, a well-ruled blackjack table and a Banker bet in baccarat carry the same house edge whoever streams them. On the games that give players the best odds, you lose almost nothing by playing ICONIC21, LuckyStreak or Winfinity tables instead.
  • Some polish. Evolution’s studios and interfaces set the standard. Smaller studios can have simpler graphics, fewer camera angles and thinner statistics panels.

A Simple Live Session Plan

Live games move fast, and the social side makes it easy to lose track. Here is a plan for a A$200 session that keeps the maths on your side as far as possible.

  1. Pick one low-edge game. Banker in baccarat (1.06%) or a 3:2 blackjack table with basic strategy (about 0.5%).
  2. Size bets at 2% to 5% of the session budget. For A$200, that is A$4 to A$10 a hand, enough for 20 to 50 losing hands in a row before the budget is gone.
  3. Set a stop-loss and a stop-win. For example, stop if the balance drops to A$100 or rises to A$300.
  4. Skip side bets. Pairs, Tie, Dragon 7 and insurance all carry house edges of 7% or more.
  5. Time-box it. At A$10 a hand on Banker, about 60 hands an hour costs about A$6.36 in expected terms; an hour is a sensible limit.

None of this changes the long-run edge. It keeps a session within a budget you chose in advance, which is the only part of the result you control.

Playing Live Casino on Mobile

All five casinos on this page run their live lobbies in a mobile browser, and Jet4Bet and Goldex also advertise iOS and Android apps on their Australian sites. Video streams use far more data than pokies, so use Wi-Fi where you can, and turn the stream quality down if the picture stutters, because a lagging stream can make you miss the betting window. Portrait mode suits roulette and game shows; blackjack and baccarat are easier to follow in landscape. Our mobile casinos guide covers app safety and browser play.

Live Casino Bonuses: Read This Before You Opt In

Welcome bonuses at all five casinos are built for pokies. Live games barely count towards wagering:

Casino Live games towards wagering Max bet while wagering Better option for live players
Jet4Bet 5% for live dealer games Per offer 10% weekly cashback on live games
Goldex 5% for live dealer card games No max bet on welcome bonuses Weekly cashback
Nine 0%; live roulette and blackjack 10% A$15 on live games Weekly cashback up to 25%
BDMBet 0%; live roulette and blackjack 10% A$15 on live games Weekly cashback up to 25%
OscarSpin 0%; live roulette and blackjack 10% A$10 15% weekly cashback

Here is what that means. A A$100 bonus with 40x wagering needs A$4,000 of qualifying bets. At a 10% contribution, live roulette has to generate A$40,000 of bets to get there; at 5%, it is A$80,000. Even at a 1.35% edge that volume costs far more than the bonus is worth. For live play, skip the welcome bonus and use cashback, which pays a share of losses back with light or no wagering. Our cashback bonus guide explains how to compare offers.

Payments and Withdrawals for Live Players

Live players tend to bet bigger per round than pokies players, so withdrawal rules matter more. These come from each casino’s own terms as checked in October 2026.

Casino Withdrawal terms
Jet4Bet Weekly limit 3,000 EUR/USD, monthly 15,000 (higher for VIPs)
Goldex Weekly limit 3,000 EUR/USD, monthly 15,000; 5,000 and 20,000 for VIP club members
Nine Processed within 72 hours; minimum €50 to €120 equivalent depending on country
BDMBet Processed within 72 hours; minimum €50 equivalent; wins over 15,000 €/$ can be paid in monthly instalments
OscarSpin Processed within 3 business days; wins above 10,000 €/$ can be split into monthly instalments

A worked example shows why this matters. Win the equivalent of 9,000 EUR on a live blackjack session at Jet4Bet, and the weekly cap means the money reaches you over three weeks. In the meantime it sits in your casino balance, where it is easy to play back. Request the full amount straight away and consider a cooling-off period on the account until the last instalment lands. Our fast payout casinos page compares withdrawal speeds in more detail.

Land-Based Live Tables in Australia

If what you really want is a dealer, a wheel and a legal, regulated table, Australia’s land-based casinos still offer it. Crown Melbourne, Crown Perth, Crown Sydney, The Star Sydney, The Star Gold Coast and The Star Brisbane (opened on 29 August 2024 at Queen’s Wharf, replacing Treasury Brisbane) all run table games under state licences. Rules, minimum bets and opening hours vary, so check each venue’s own page before you go. Unlike an offshore website, these venues sit under Australian regulators, which gives you a real complaint route if something goes wrong. Note that Evolution’s Dual Play tables, which link real casino floors to online players, operate in the United Kingdom, Malta, Romania and the United States, not in Australia, so no Australian venue table is streamed online to Australian players.

Red Flags at Live Casinos

  • “VPN friendly” marketing. A casino that advertises VPN use is telling you it will ignore supplier and country rules. We excluded one brand from our Australian lists for exactly that.
  • Evolution tables shown to Australian accounts. Given Evolution’s restrictions, this suggests the casino is breaching its supplier agreement or the tables are not what they claim.
  • No rules panel. Every legitimate live table shows its payouts and RTP or house edge somewhere. If you cannot find them, do not bet.
  • Payment requests to private accounts. A real casino never asks you to pay a person by bank transfer or PayID to a mobile number.
  • Pressure from hosts in chat. Dealers and VIP managers are there to keep you playing. Decide your limits before you sit down.

Live Casino Glossary

Term Meaning
Bet behind Backing another player’s blackjack hand without a seat
Dual Play A real land-based casino table that online players can join; Evolution runs them in the UK, Malta, Romania and the US
First Person Evolution’s RNG versions of its live games
La partage French roulette rule returning half an even-money stake when zero lands
Money wheel A game show wheel with numbered and bonus segments, such as Crazy Time or Mega Wheel
RTP Return to player: the long-run share of stakes a game pays back
Side bet An optional extra bet, usually with a much higher house edge than the main game
Soft 17 A dealer hand of 17 that includes an ace counted as 11

How to Choose a Live Table

  1. Read the rules panel first. For blackjack, look for 3:2 payouts and the dealer standing on soft 17. For roulette, look for a single zero, and la partage on French tables.
  2. Check the limits. Minimum and maximum bets are shown on the table tile or in the lobby; pick a table where your normal bet is near the bottom of the range.
  3. Watch a few rounds. Stream quality and the speed of the dealer matter more than the studio name.
  4. Know the side bets. Side bets are where most of the house edge hides; skip them unless you know their RTP.
  5. Set a time and loss limit. Live games are fast and sociable; it is easy to keep going longer than planned.

How to Start Playing Live Casino Games From Australia

  1. Pick a casino that passed our checks. All five above accept Australians and were not on ACMA’s blocked list when we checked.
  2. Register with your real details and verify early. Identity checks are standard before withdrawals.
  3. Deposit with a method you can withdraw to. The lobby footers we saw listed Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and crypto; Goldex also showed bank transfer and Paysafecard. Compare options on our payment methods page.
  4. Decline the welcome bonus if you only play live. Use cashback instead.
  5. Open the live lobby and filter by game. Roulette, blackjack, baccarat and game show tabs sit at the top of each lobby.
  6. Set limits before your first bet. Deposit, loss and session limits are in account settings.

Who This Page Is For

If you came looking for an Evolution casino, the honest answer is that there is no legitimate one for Australians right now. Game show fans should look at Nine’s Pragmatic Play Live tables. If you want classic tables with the best odds, single-zero roulette and blackjack from ICONIC21, LuckyStreak and Winfinity at Jet4Bet and Goldex are the place to start. Newcomers to live casino can begin with our live casino guide and the casino games hub.

The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes it an offence for an operator to offer online casino games, live dealer games included, to people in Australia. The player commits no offence, but there is no Australian regulator to complain to if an offshore casino refuses a withdrawal. ACMA said on 24 September 2026 that 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate websites had been blocked since its first blocking request in November 2019, and that more than 230 illegal services had pulled out of the Australian market since it started enforcing the online gambling rules. Licensed online wagering on sport and racing remains legal with a state or territory licensed bookmaker.

BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, covers licensed Australian wagering providers only and does not reach offshore casinos, so set limits at the casino too. If gambling is causing harm, Gambling Help Online offers free, confidential support 24/7 on 1800 858 858. See our responsible gaming page for more help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I play Evolution live casino games in Australia?

Not at any casino we checked. Provider restriction tables published by offshore casinos list Australia among Evolution’s restricted territories, and no Evolution tables appeared in the Australian lobbies we viewed in October 2026.

Why does Evolution block Australia?

Australia does not license online casino games, and the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes offering them to Australians an offence for the operator. Evolution, which holds licences in many regulated markets, requires casinos to block restricted countries.

Can I use a VPN to play Crazy Time?

You should not. Casino terms such as Jet4Bet’s say using a VPN to bypass a provider’s block may lead to confiscation of winnings, and identity checks at withdrawal will show your Australian address.

What is the RTP of Lightning Roulette?

Lightning Roulette’s published RTP is 97.30%, the same 2.70% house edge as European roulette. Straight-up wins on non-lightning numbers pay 29 to 1, while lightning numbers pay 50x to 500x.

What is the RTP of Crazy Time?

It depends on the bet spot, ranging from about 94.41% to 96.08%. Check the help panel at the table, as configurations can differ by market.

Which live studios can Australians play?

At the casinos we checked: ICONIC21, LuckyStreak, Pragmatic Play Live, Winfinity, Imagine Live, Plati+, Live Vegas, Creedroomz, Everest and EnjoyGaming.

Is there an alternative to Crazy Time for Australians?

Nine Casino’s Australian lobby carried Pragmatic Play Live game shows including Mega Wheel, Money Time and Sweet Bonanza CandyLand when we checked in October 2026.

What is the best live casino game for Australians?

On odds alone, blackjack with 3:2 payouts and basic strategy (about 0.4% to 0.5% house edge), the Banker bet in baccarat (1.06%) and French roulette even-money bets with la partage (1.35%). All three were available in the Australian lobbies we checked.

Do live casino games count towards welcome bonuses?

Barely. Nine, BDMBet and OscarSpin count live games at 0% (live roulette and blackjack at 10%), and Jet4Bet and Goldex count live dealer games at 5%. Cashback suits live players better.
