KatsuBet is blocked in Australia. ACMA, the federal regulator, named it on 16 June 2022 among the illegal offshore gambling sites it had asked Australian internet providers to block, and four KatsuBet addresses are on ACMA’s published blocked list (katsubet.com, katsubet1.com, katsubet10.com and katsubet12.com, checked 16 October 2026). We no longer recommend KatsuBet to anyone in Australia. This review now covers what happened, what it means if you still have an account, and where to find casinos we review that do accept Australians.
Time for a straight answer, Bros. Our old KatsuBet review said “KatsuBet Casino is not a scam but a legitimate online casino”. None of that matters once the regulator has blocked a site, so the rating and links are gone and the page now sticks to dated facts.
The alternatives listed at the top of this page all accepted Australians and were not on ACMA’s blocked list when we checked in October 2026. None holds an Australian licence, because Australia does not license online casinos. If gambling is causing you stress, call Gambling Help Online on 1800 858 858, free and any time.

How KatsuBet Ended Up on ACMA’s Blocked List
Online casino games and online pokies cannot legally be offered to people in Australia. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes that an offence for the operator, not the player, and bans the advertising too. ACMA polices the Act, and when an investigation finds an offshore site in breach it asks Australian internet service providers to block it. By 24 September 2026 the regulator counted 1,822 illegal gambling and affiliate sites blocked since it began in November 2019.
KatsuBet was part of the batch ACMA announced on 16 June 2022. The same release also covered Abo Casino, Jet Casino and Winz.io, which we used to review as well. The list now holds 4 addresses for the brand. That pattern usually means the casino keeps switching to fresh mirror domains as the old ones are blocked, and ACMA keeps adding the mirrors as it finds them. The block is not new: it dates back to June 2022, and our review should have caught up with it long before now.
Why the Site May Still Open for You
Blocking is carried out by internet providers, not by the casino, so it does not catch every connection. If you see ACMA’s “website blocked” page, the domain is blocked. If you do not, your provider may not have applied the block yet, or you may have reached a mirror that is not on the list. Neither makes the casino legal to offer its games in Australia.
Do not use a VPN to get around a block or a casino’s country rules. Offshore casino terms routinely treat a disguised location as a breach and let the casino keep any winnings and close the account.
Still Holding a Balance at KatsuBet?
If you signed up before the block and still have money there, focus on getting it out cleanly and on keeping records.
- Stop depositing. Any new deposit adds to the amount at risk, so switch off saved cards and auto top-ups too.
- Take screenshots of your balance, pending withdrawals, bonus status and transaction history, with dates.
- Deal with any active bonus. Bonus money usually locks your balance until wagering is complete. If you only want your cash, ask support in writing to cancel the bonus first.
- Get verification done early. Offshore casinos hold payouts until ID, address and payment checks clear, so upload clear copies once and keep a record of when you sent them.
- Mind the withdrawal caps. Check the daily, weekly and monthly limits in the cashier or terms before you request a large amount, because a big balance may come out in instalments.
- Put the request in writing. Use live chat or email rather than phone, and save the transcripts.
- Know the dispute route. No Australian regulator, ombudsman or tribunal can order an offshore casino to pay. Our old review named a licence from Curaçao; if the casino still shows a licence in its footer, that regulator’s complaints process is the only formal route left. If you paid by card, ask your bank about its dispute process, but do not expect a chargeback to succeed on gambling losses you authorised.
BetStop, the National Self-Exclusion Register, does not cover offshore casinos, so if you want out for good, ask KatsuBet to close and exclude your account directly. For free, confidential support, Gambling Help Online is on 1800 858 858. Our responsible gaming page lists more services.
Our Old KatsuBet Review, Corrected
For anyone comparing notes, these are the main points our previous KatsuBet review made. They are recorded here as old claims; we have not rechecked them against KatsuBet’s current pages, and they do not change its status.
- Operator: Dama N.V.
- Licence: Curaçao
- Launched: 2020
- Welcome offer: 100% up to $100 plus 100 free spins at 45x the bonus
- Verdict: Said “KatsuBet Casino is not a scam but a legitimate online casino”
However the licence is described, it does not make KatsuBet legal for Australians. No foreign licence permits online casino games or pokies to be offered here, and the block shows ACMA has found KatsuBet in breach.
Where to Look Instead
Every brand on our Australian pages has to pass the same checks, and we rerun them regularly:
- None of its domains is on ACMA’s published blocked-websites list.
- The brand is not named in any of ACMA’s blocking releases.
- Its Australian lobby loads from an Australian connection and Australia is not on its restricted-country list.
- There is no “confirm you are outside Australia” declaration or similar trap in its pages.
The full reviews of OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex explain what each one offers Australians and where the catches are. All four passed our October 2026 checks; all four are offshore. Our safer casino guide covers the warning signs, and the Australian reviews hub shows the status of every brand we have rechecked.
KatsuBet FAQ
Is KatsuBet blocked in Australia?
Yes. ACMA named KatsuBet in its media release of 16 June 2022, and 4 of its domains are on the published blocked list (checked 16 October 2026).
Is it illegal for me to play at KatsuBet?
The IGA offence belongs to the operator, not the player. But you have no Australian regulator to help in a dispute, access can disappear at any time, and the casino’s own terms may let it void winnings if you are in a restricted location.
How do I withdraw my money from KatsuBet?
Stop depositing, screenshot your balance, cancel any active bonus, complete verification and request the withdrawal in writing, keeping within the cashier limits. Save every support transcript.
Is KatsuBet licensed?
Our old review gave the licence as Curaçao, with the operator named as Dama N.V.. We have not rechecked that for this update, and no offshore licence makes online casino games legal to offer in Australia.
Which casinos can I use instead of KatsuBet?
OscarSpin, Nine Casino, Jet4Bet and Goldex accepted Australians and were not blocked or named by ACMA when we checked in October 2026. All are offshore with no Australian licence, so read their reviews and terms first.
