Deuces And Joker Strategy

Blog

One of the most popular video poker games in a casino is Deuces and Joker. And it makes no difference whether you want to play at a land-based casino or prefer to play on the Internet from the comfort of your own home. In any case, you will have the opportunity to not only enjoy the game, but also to benefit from it. If you use the Deuces and Joker method, you’ll have a better chance of winning.

If you want to keep your luck while playing Deuces and Joker, you should be aware of the game’s quirks. It is suggested that you review the payment table before taking any moves. It’s no secret that the larger your wager, the greater your expected return. As a result, if you choose the option “Bet Max,” your estimated return will be 99.26%.

When playing Deuces and Joker, you should avoid looking for high cards and instead discard everything below a Jack. Three of a kind is the lowest paying hand, and the worth of the cards has no bearing. To get an equitable payment, you must assemble at least three of a kind combinations.

Deuces and Joker Rules

The Deuces and Joker approach is made up of a set of rules that you must follow in order to win the game. When you play this game with five wild cards (four deuces and a joker), you should adjust your approach accordingly. In this regard, we’ve divided all of the rules into sections based on whether or not you have wild cards in your starting hand.

If you have no wild cards in your initial hand, you should discard all the cards except:

  • royal flush;
  • four cards to a royal flush;
  • straight flush/ four of a kind/ full house;
  • flush/straight;
  • three of a kind;
  • four to a straight flush;
  • three to a royal flush;
  • four to a flush;
  • two pairs;
  • four to a straight without gaps;
  • three to a straight flush without gaps;
  • one pair;
  • suited T-J, T-Q, J-Q.

If your initial hand contains one wild card, you have to keep the following cards (note, that the rest you ought to discard without a doubt):

  • four to a natural royal flush (this means that you should discard even wild card);
  • five of a kind/straight flush;
  • four of a kind, full house;
  • flush;
  • four to a wild royal flush;
  • straight;
  • four to straight flush without any gaps or with one gap;
  • three of a kind;
  • three to a wild royal flush without an Ace;
  • three to a straight flush without a gap;
  • four to a straight without a gap;
  • four to a flush;
  • three to a straight flush with one gap;
  • three to a wild royal flash with Ace;
  • wild card.

If two wild cards were dealt, you should hold the following cards and throw all the rest absent in the list:

  • wild royal flush/ straight/ straight flush;
  • four of a kind;
  • four to a royal flush;
  • flush;
  • four to a straight flush;
  • keep wild cards.

If your initial hand contains three wild cards, you have to keep only:

  • wild royal flush, five of a kind;
  • wild cards.

If you were fortunate enough to receive four wild cards, keep the four wild cards and discard the remaining one in the hopes of receiving the fifth wild card.

Despite being rough trade, Derrick prefers to use sarcasm over fists because the parts of Atlanta he grew up in still consider it witchcraft. A.k.a. The Buff Dude, he’s a sucker for roulette, a total video game geek, and a beast when it comes to online casino security. We mainly hired him because he is scary AF but don’t tell him we said that.
